CIYMS seemed to be on course for a defeat as Istanbul were scripting their own chart. And that is what, eventually, happened in the end. The latter picked up wickets at regular intervals and tried to make sure that they got their wins over the favourites.
However, Carson McCullough tore into Mercit Zargar in the eighth over of this innings and changed the game completely in favour of the Irish. Although he departed off Adeel Raza in the next over, he had made sure that the game was in the pocket of CIYMS. But, we saw another twist in this game.
Raza managed to end that over with two wickets, and this allowed the side from Turkey to come back into this game. Istanbul will be slightly displeased with the way they conceded the game despite being on top for most of this innings, but they can be proud of the fact that they dragged it as far as they did.
CIYMS, however, will be extremely unhappy with the way they unravelled after McCullough's dismissal. He had brought them close to winning this match, but the other batters just could not follow through. Full credit to the Turkish side for winning this game- they were much better than their Irish counterparts.

9.6 Murad Ozbek to Mark Best, THAT WILL BE THAT! ISTANBUL KSK WIN A THRILLER! Full toss on middle. Best tries his best to heave it across the line but misses out on putting bat to ball! It takes the pad to square-leg but the batters don't run, knowing fully well that the match has slipped out of their hands!
9.5 Murad Ozbek to Mark Best, full outside off-stump. Right up in the block hole. A swing through the line and a miss! That is a dot ball and we have 7 runs to win off 1 ball!

Oh! We have some drama here at the Cartama Oval! It seemed as if McCullough had won it for the Irish in the previous over, but Raza bagged a couple of big wickets in this one and ensured that it was back on the balance yet again. 11 runs needed in the last over now.
