The Colombo Stars heading to the playoffs after some brutal destruction! They have had a stellar performance with the bat and the ball. The openers start with an amazing run chase from the first ball itself which gave the batters an amazing start and it felt like they were going to chase this one down. But in came Jeffrey Vandersay, who turned the entire game around with 2 wickets in one over and turned the entire game around after which Ravi Bopara's 44 acted as the saving grace. The batters were at par to the run rate and were even having the same wickets and runs as the Colombo Stars in the first innings at the 14th over mark. But, it was after that over that all hell lose for Kandy Warriors as an already under pressure team lost 5 wickets in 2 overs and it was Colombo who will be finishing at the 4th place and heading to the LPL Playoffs.
Thank you so much for joining us for yet another match. This is Pradeep and Pranav signing off. Until next time.
Stars won by 58 runs

16.6 Jeffrey Vandersay to Al-Amin Hossain, OUT! FAINT EDGE AND TAKEN! Vandersay takes Colombo Stars into the play-offs, SIX WICKETS FOR HIM! Another googly that Al-Amin failed to pick as he goes down his knee to sweep but gets a feather and Perera takes a sharp catch and Vandersay is elated as he's picked his career best figures! Colombo Stars into the play-offs and Kandy Warriors are eliminated!
Al-Amin Hossain c †Perera b Vandersay 0 (2b 0x4 0x6)
16.5 Jeffrey Vandersay to Al-Amin Hossain, OH MY! Al-Amin fails to pick the googly there as he turns into him and whistles past the off-stump and he survives!
16.4 Jeffrey Vandersay to Kamindu Mendis, OUT! MILES UP IN THE AIR AGAIN AND TAKEN AGAIN! FIVE WICKETS FOR VANDERSAY! Length delivery on the off-stump as Mendis skips down the track to clobber that but all he gets was too much elevation and no distance as he skies it and Chameera at long-on takes another brilliant catch! Kamindu Mendis c Chameera b Vandersay 13 (13b 0x4 0x6)
16.3 Jeffrey Vandersay to Sachindu Colombage, OUT! IN THE AIR AND TAKEN! Length delivery on the off-stump and Colombage takes the bait as he looks to clear long-on but he miscues it, goes straight up in the air and the long-on fielder takes a simple catch and that's four-for Vandersay!
Sachindu Colombage c Chameera b Vandersay 0 (3b 0x4 0x6)
16.2 Jeffrey Vandersay to Sachindu Colombage, OH DEAR! Drops it short and kept turning away on the outside off, that kept low as well and Colombage looks to drag it but misses it by a long way!
16.1 Jeffrey Vandersay to Sachindu Colombage, BEAUTY! Good length delivery skids away on the outside off and Colombage presses forward to play and gets beaten all ends up.

1/9
15.6 Naveen-ul-Haq to Kamindu Mendis, length delivery on the leg-stump line and Mendis fails to turn that one away as he misses, thuds on the pad.
15.5 Naveen-ul-Haq to Nimesh Vimukthi, RUN-OUT! HUGE MIX-UP AND VIMUKTHI IS STRUGGLING THERE! Back of a length on the off-stump as Vimukthi makes room and pushes it past the covers and they pick up a single but Vimukthi turns back and kept running for the second one and Mendis sends him back as he puts in the slide but Vandersay collects and whips the bails off. The Umpire goes upstairs to check on that and he's a goner, he's short by a yard!
15.4 Naveen-ul-Haq to Nimesh Vimukthi, this is excellent pace variation from Naveen, takes the pace off and turns that one over Vimukthi who tries to get some bat on it but fails to do so, goes to the keeper
15.3 Naveen-ul-Haq to Nimesh Vimukthi, back of a length into Vimukthi on the mid-riff area as he hangs back and drops it into the on-side for no run.
Yet another wicket gone and now it looks like we know the result of the game.
15.2 Naveen-ul-Haq to Asela Gunaratne, OUT! KNOCKED HIM OVER! Done him in with pace, back of a length on the stumps and Gunaratne exposes all his stumps to cut to access the off-side as he backs away but he misses and Naveen castles him and is that the final nail in the coffin?
Asela Gunaratne b Naveen-ul-Haq 17 (17b 1x4 0x6)
15.1 Naveen-ul-Haq to Kamindu Mendis, length delivery on the off-stump as Mendis presses forward and drives it through the covers for just a single.
Naveen-ul-Haq (RMF) (1-0-8-0) to bowl the next one. The batters have to hit it all out of the park here.

Seekkuge Prasanna
2/26
14.6 Seekkuge Prasanna to Asela Gunaratne, too full on the middle and off as Gunaratne drills that one past the vacant mid-wicket region and they scamper back for the second, still no boundaries for the Warriors!
