Thanks a lot for joining us- Mohul Bhowmick and Sooryanarayanan Sesha- for this exciting game in the ECS. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we did bringing it to you. Until next time, take care!
Cossonay beat Zurich Lions by 29 runs!
Aidan Andrews 37 (17) | Tahirkhan Ahmadzai 4-16 Jai Sinh 32 (13) | Kanishk Shah 3-4
Leg spinner Tahirkhan Ahmadzai tore into the Zurich Lions batting unit and made them pay for their poor shot selection. Unlike others of his ilk, Ahmadzai was not shy to toss the ball up in this format of the game, and reaped the rewards when the batters were lured into false shots of their own making.
The batters of Zurich Lions were expected to put up a better showing than they did today, and this will hurt them tremendously. A lot was expected of the likes of Akash Wadhw and Kanishk Shah, but sadly, things did not go according to plan.
This game will give Cossonay a lot of confidence, and we are sure that they will only improve from here. They will also be able to dwell on their mistakes as well as get better. Zurich Lions need to pull their socks up in all three departments in order to progress further into the competition.

9.6 Jai Sinh to Amit Kumar, FOUR! Too late though! Dug short with plenty of width as Amit chances his arm and stands tall to help it up and over third man. Clears the inner ring comfortably to send it to the ropes but it's all a consolation. Cossonay take this one by 29 runs!
9.5 Jai Sinh to Snehil Joshi, dipping slower delivery into the block hole outside the off stump. Joshi makes room to squeeze it out to sweeper cover
9.4 Jai Sinh to Snehil Joshi, pacey delivery honing into the stumps. Full in length as Joshi clears his front leg and drags it off the inside edge to deep backward square leg for a brace
9.3 Jai Sinh to Snehil Joshi, pace off as he goes full in length again but wider of the batter's reach. Joshi steps out and reaches for it as well as he possibly can, only to end up floored as he slips and fails to connect
9.2 Jai Sinh to Snehil Joshi, OH! Another off-pace delivery on a full length close to the off stump. Joshi swings hard but it just beats him as well as the off pole
9.1 Jai Sinh to Snehil Joshi, slower one well outside the off stump. Joshi swings like a rusty gate but only connects with thin air
Jai Sinh [1-0-16-0] will bowl the final over.
Cossonay are all but home. They will try to take the last Lions wicket in order to boost their net run rate. Coming into this game on the back of a rather disappointing defeat in the hands of Zurich Nomads, they will be happy with this result.

Venu Agarwal
2/19
8.6 Venu Agarwal to Amit Kumar, back of a length and angling into the stumps. Gets high on Amit's bat as he looks to fend it around the corner before the keeper runs forward to get to the ball
8.5 Venu Agarwal to Amit Kumar, back of a length delivery outside the off stump. Zips through as Amit hangs back and spars at it without making contact
8.4 Venu Agarwal to Amit Kumar, width offered on a back of a length radar. Amit uses his wrists attempting a cut but cannot put bat to ball
Amit Kumar, RHB, is the last batter for Zurich Lions.
8.3 Venu Agarwal to Osama Mushwani, SIMPLE CATCH! Slower back of a length delivery just outside the line of off stump. Mushwani rocks back and pummels it a mile into the sky before deep mid-wicket moves to his left and sees it safely into his hands. The Lions are now one wicket away from being bowled out!
Osama Mushwani c Jai Sinh b Venu Agarwal 13 (8b 0x4 2x6)
8.2 Venu Agarwal to Osama Mushwani, length delivery outside the off stump that nips back in. Mushwani gets into a tangle as he wears it on his pads
8.1 Venu Agarwal to Osama Mushwani, SIX! In the slot outside the off stump as he takes pace off. Mushwani waits for it and lines it up before launching it over long off's head for a maximum
Venu Agarwal [1-0-13-1] is back into the attack.
Cossonay have all but won this game now. With the departure of skipper Kanishk Shah, all the hopes of the Lions seem to have gone up in smoke. They will now have to hope for a miracle.
