10:25 PM local time (11:55 PM IST): The Dubai Capitals have registered their second win against the Vipers in the last three days and they are into the finals of the ILT20. Meanwhile, the Vipers will play against the winners of the Eliminator in the Second Qualifier on Friday, February 7. For now, I, Keshav, on behalf of my colleague, Bidipto, bid you adieu. You can tune into the Eliminator of SA20 between the Sunrisers Eastern Cape and the Joburg Cape Town, where the latter is chasing the target.
Gulbadin Naib is the Player of the Match: I have played a good game in the past, so it was a positive sign. I played two games before this in which I scored fifties and remained not out, so today also my mind was clear because I am used to these bowlers. Today was a tough game as it was a semi-final but I took some time in the middle. Luckily, Sam got one over and I ran him out but it's a part of the game. I can bat at any position and I love to bat. Number 3 is like my lucky number now. I have opened as well, so wherever the team requires me, I would be available. We have played a lot of cricket in Dubai here, so we know the surface and even the conditions. It was a pressure game and I love playing such games. I use the conditions, the surface and the variations in my bowling.
Sam Billings (Dubai Capitals captain): Someone had to take Wanindu Hasaranga on, and I took it up upon myself. He has got me out many times, luckily I got it back over him today! I think we were slightly below par with the bowling of ours. Of course Alex Hales batted well for them, but we need to work on our bowling. We have a few days off now, so we'll figure our way out towards it. Adam Rossington is playing well, David Warner is recovering too, so we have some selection headaches and thankfully so! Gulbadin Naib is making the most of his opportunities. He has been brilliant for us and long may it continue!
Lockie Ferguson (Desert Vipers captain): I had a little hamstring issue, don't know what the extent of it is, so, let's see! I thought the boys bowled well, but the dew came in and made it slightly tough for us. But credit to them, they batted really well. Our batters were exceptional, I must say. We've got to get back to the drawing board now and see how we plan for the next one.
10:14 pm local time (11:44 pm IST): It's time for the post-match presentation!
10:07 PM local time (11:37 PM IST): Dubai Capitals win by 5 wickets and they are into the final
The Dubai Capitals are the first side into the finals of the ILT20. It took contributions from all the top-order and middle-order batters for the Capitals to reach the target on the final ball of the game. Gulbadin Naib scored back to back half-centuries and it proved crucial for his side to get a win in Qualifier 1 against the Desert Vipers.
With a target of 190 runs on the board, Adam Rossington and Shai Hope started off decently with 47 runs for the loss of no wicket in the powerplay. It was the former who led the attack against the Vipers's pacers. Both the openers were back into the hut by the 10th over and it was on to Gulbadin Naib and skipper Sam Billings to keep cruising towards the target.
Sam Billings wreaked havoc in the middle overs with multiple boundaries off Mohammad Amir and Wanindu Hasaranga's over. But just when Naib and Billings reached the 50-run partnership a mix-up in the middle of the pitch for a second run caused the fall of Billings at the batting end. However, he had gave his side a boost with 36 runs in 2 overs.
Gulbadin Naib ensured that the required rate stays under 11-12 and kept hitting boundaries consistently. He got a decent support from Rovman Powell, who played a cameo before getting dismissed. However, Naib stayed in the middle and reached his half-century even though he got lucky with some edges that went racing to the fence. Naib's stay on the crease till the last over ensured that the Dubai Capitals become the first side to get into the final of the ILT20.
Among the bowlers, Lockie Ferguson took two wickets while David Payne and Wanindu Hasaranga took a wicket apiece. With this loss, the Vipers have now lost three out of the last four games. They will have another chance at getting in the final in the second Qualifier on Friday.

19.6 Mohammad Amir to Sikandar Raza, round the wicket, DUBAI CAPITALS WIN A THRILLER AND MAKE THE FINAL AT THE FIRST TIME OF ASKING! Full on off-and-middle with a bit of tail back in. Raza stayed deep in the crease and went for the lofted shot over mid-off. But it got miscued. However, it went over square-leg and to the boundary to seal the deal for Billings' side!
Lockie Ferguson is walking out to the pavilion with a hamstring issue. It's unfortunate for him and his side.
Mohammad Amir [3-0-32-0] will bowl the final bowl. The keeper has walked up.
Sikandar Raza, RHB, walks out to the crease
Do we have super-overs in store here? Dubai Capitals 1 run off 1 ball.
19.5 Lockie Ferguson to Gulbadin Naib, OH IT'S A WICKET! WHAT A GOOD CATCH THIS IS BY LAWRENCE! Full around off-stump. Gulbadin smacked it from deep in the crease but could not quite time it. The ball went in the air to the right of mid-off and the fielder just threw himself to it and caught it magnificently yo keep the match alive!
19.4 Lockie Ferguson to Gulbadin Naib, OH DEAR! MISFIELD! Back of a length around off. Patted to point on the up. And a needless through to the stumps at the non-striker's end gives the batters two runs! Scores are level.
19.3 Lockie Ferguson to Gulbadin Naib, THE PRESSURE GOT TO PARASHAR! DROPPED! Back of a length on off-stump. The hack across the line on the back foot gets top-edged. But deep backward square-leg was poor under that high ball! Two runs.
The inside edge got Naib and the Capitals a boundary past the left of Gurbaz. That's luck on their side. Dubai Capitals need 5 runs off 4 balls.
19.2 Lockie Ferguson to Gulbadin Naib, OH DEAR! THAT'S FOUR LUCKY RUNS! Full, slow and just outside off. Gulbadin's heave across the line from down on one knee gets inside-edged past the stumps and through the gloves of the keeper as he dived to his left!
19.1 Lockie Ferguson to Gulbadin Naib, short, slow and wide outside off. A bunt on the back foot to the right of the bowler for a brace on this occasion to long-on. Had the ball hit the stumps at the bowler's end, Shanaka was gone for all money!
19.1 Lockie Ferguson to Gulbadin Naib, over the wicket, WIDE outside the line of off-stump! Slow, but way too wide of off-stump. Good leave by Gulbadin too!
Lockie Ferguson [3-0-21-1] will bowl the final over.
Only a boundary off Sam Curran's over has kept the contest open and it's all down to the wire. Dubai Capitals need 12 runs off 6 balls. Will it be Ferguson or Mohammad Amir in the final over?
