So that will be all from this match at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram, but the second match of the BPL for today is coming up at 6:30 PM IST, so do join us again for that one! This is the pair of Bidipto and Srivathsa, saying good bye. Keep following Sportskeeda!
Mashrafe Mortaza (Sylhet Strikers captain): It was another fine win, it did get a little tricky in the end, but it was a fine effort from Thisara to get the job done, finally! We should have batted better though, but I feel this was a typical Chattogram wicket where 150 would have been a good score for sure. However, it is important for us to carry forward the momentum into the next match and take things as they come.
Imad Wasim (Player of the Match): I think the pitch did keep low, but there was not a lot of spin on offer. Pace variation and length are very important, and hitting the right areas is absolute key on a surface like this. Every player is chipping in nicely, but this is a long tournament and we have to stay out right through. A big thanks to the Sylhet crowd as well for coming out in numbers over here to Chattogram!
Nasir Hossain (Dhaka Dominators captain): We started well with the ball, and it was the bowlers who actually brought us back in the match, but unfortunately, we could not quite finish it off. Not too unhappy with the result, because I think the process is the correct one, which we are following at the moment.
Sylhet Strikers - 134/5, beat Dhaka Dominators - 128/7, by 5 wickets with 4 balls to spare.
Mohammad Haris 44 (32) | Imad Wasim - 3/20 Nasir Hossain 39 (31) | Nasir Hossain - 2/19
5 in a row for Sylhet in this year's tournament. Dhaka fought hard through Taskin who was outstanding and with their spinners Arafat Sunny and Nasir Hossain but it was just not enough.
Earlier the openers set Sylhet on their way with Mohammad Haris taking risks and hitting boundaries.
But Nasir came on and took 2 wickets in one over to peg things back and it needed Rahim and Imad to rebuild which they did.
Imad and Rahim fell and the game was in the balance when 20 was needed off 12 but Thisara and Akbar Ali took 18 in the 19th over to kill off any Dhaka hopes.
Stay tuned for the presentation.
Thisara the finisher and he does it with style for Sylhet.
19.2 Soumya Sarkar to Thisara Perera, THAT WILL BE THAT! SIX RUNS OFF THE TOP HAND! Full and slow on middle and Thisara Perera hits it almightily over cow corner from the crease and from the middle the bat, for a MAXIMUM, and that is a stylish finish to the game for Sylhet!
19.1 Soumya Sarkar to Akbar Ali, over the wicket, full and wide outside off, delivered from wide of the crease and this is driven hard, down to deep cover, from the front foot, for a single. Scores are level.
Thisara shows all his experience to hit those two boundaries. And then Akbar Ali with a dash of cheekiness to all but finish the game, the scoop and he has connected beautifully. Sylhet on their way to another win.

18.6 Salman Irshad to Akbar Ali, full on off, drilled down to long-on from the crease, with the thick inside edge on it, for a single to keep strike.
18.5 Salman Irshad to Akbar Ali, OH! FANTASTIC SHOT! SIX RUNS! Full on middle, Akbar just shuffles across to off and laps it over short fine-leg from the middle of the bat, for a flat MAXIMUM!
18.4 Salman Irshad to Thisara Perera, full on leg, up in the block hole and all Perera could do to that one is strike it down to long-on for one!
18.3 Salman Irshad to Thisara Perera, FOUR MORE! Short on middle-and-leg, bad ball and Perera SLAMS it over the in-field off the back foot, down to the gap between deep backward square-leg and deep mid-wicket, for a boundary!
18.2 Salman Irshad to Thisara Perera, full on middle, heaved away leg-side from the crease to deep mid-wicket, and the batters take two runs in the end!
18.1 Salman Irshad to Thisara Perera, FOUR! Full outside off, tailing away again with the slingy action and still, Perera MUSCLES it straight down the ground from the crease, past the left of long-off, for a boundary!
Tremendous from Taskin to give away just 4 and take Rahim's wicket. He nailed his yorkers. A masterclass in death bowling.
