In the end, this turned out to be a rather one-sided contest in favour of the side from France. Dreux made easy work of the Vienna CC batting lineup, and got them all out for a modest 66 in 8.3 overs. If not for the last-wicket partnership between Quinton Norris and Ali Rahemi, the Austrians would not have got to this total as well.

Afridi Yaseen and Tabish Bhatti were the stars with the ball in hand for Dreux, picking up seven wickets between them. Earlier in the day, Mohammad Nisar and Ahmad Nabi gave the French the most delightful start that they could have hoped for. Vienna CC need to take away a lot of learnings from this game, and come back stronger.
