All in all, it has been a comprehensive victory for the Royal Eagles. Initially, they were stuttering in the competition but now they seemed smooth as butter. It's been a steamrolling for the Dunabogdany CC as they failed to extract even a single wicket.
So, that's a wrap from this encounter of ECS Hungary. This was Arijit Kundu with the ball-by-ball live coverage and updates alongside Maanas Upadhay. Stay tuned to the Sportskeeda network for the all other happenings.
Royal Eagles won the match by 10 wickets and 20 balls to spare.
Coming out to chase a target of 85 runs, the Royal Eagles’ openers seem to be in a hurry to catch a locomotive. Shubham Dhari and Sachin Chauhan were aggressive in their intent right from the start.
They played some outrageous shots and stitched up a stand of 85 runs to steer the side past the finishing line. From the bowling point, Kirtikumar Dhayfule was spanked away for 22 runs in his only over while Venkata Narashiman was the most economical one, conceding 8 runs in his only over.
Earlier, Dunabogdany CC won the toss and opted to bat first. They managed to get to 84 runs mark on the back of a blistering knock from Yadwinder Singh. They withstood early blows which included a wicket maiden but Yadwinder helped them revive to some extent.
The middle order failed to chalk up runs and with the help of some lusty blows from Chris Dowle and Kirtikumar Dhayfule, Dunabogdany managed to put some fighting score on the board. Ajay Jaiswal wreaked havoc in the batting order along with assistance from Guru Gambhir and Anup Gupta. Jaiswal was on a hat-trick opportunity and eventually ended up with four-wicket haul.
6.4 Bibek Singh to Shubham Dhari, length ball on the off stump line, Dhari plays a crisp drive towards long off and the batters settle for a single. And that will complete what has been a quick chase!
6.3 Bibek Singh to Shubham Dhari, length ball on the pads, Dhari tucks it through the backward square leg region for a couple of runs.
6.2 Bibek Singh to Shubham Dhari, full and outside off, Dhari looks to go big over mid-wicket once again but fails to make any connection.
6.1 Bibek Singh to Shubham Dhari, SIX! BANG! Full and on the off stump angling in, Dhari takes a step down the track, gets onto the front foot and absolutely launches that over the mid-wicket region with a big swing across the line for a maximum!
Bibek Singh, right-arm off-break, is introduced into the attack.
So, it's just a matter of time before the Eagles seal a victory. It can be this upcoming over as well.
