With that we come to an end of another exciting contest in the SA20. We have got games coming thick and fast as we are now in the business end of the tournament. Tomorrow, it will be a crucial clash between Sunrisers Eastern Cape and Jo'Burg Super Kings. Make sure you join us for that! This is Sourabh Agrawal along with Arya Sekhar Chakraborty wishing you a very good night! Adios!
Durban Super Giants won by 8 runs Matthew Bretzkee 73(46) | Junior Dala 5/26(4) Will Jacks 41(26) | Daryl Dupavillon 3/25(4)
DSG hand the Pretoria Capitals their fifth loss of the season as they all-but guarantee a top of the table finish for themselves in the process. They played like the best team in the tournament and made brilliant use of the conditions on offer in their last home game of the season. The Capitals now only have a mathematical chance of making it to the playoffs with favors needed from other teams.
Opting to bat, DSG lost de Zorzi early but then Matthew Bretzkee took off and did not look back until he was dismissed only after getting his team past a 100 in under 10 overs and ended up getting himself a well made 73. DSG did stumble in the second half of their innings but it was more to do with the conditions getting slower and lower rather than any poor batting. Muthusamy and Dupavillon got 3 wickets apiece for the Capitals as DSG ended with 174 on the board.
Having come out to chase a stiff 175, the start was extremely crucial for the Capitals but they came up against some exceptional bowling and fielding effort from the home team. The tone was set early by Junior Dala who took an exceptional catch at the boundary in the first over to dismiss Phil Salt. Junior Dala wasn't done and he went to claim a magnificent fifer. Even though they lost by just 8 runs, it was much worse than that for Capitals. Their batters could not get a hang of the conditions as the DSG bowlers were brilliant at taking off the pace with their cutters. It was a struggle for most of the Capitals' batters with their opener, Will Jacks, top scoring with 41.
Matthew Bretzkee (Player of the match) - Very happy to get the win before the playoffs. It was great to see guys like Junior Dala step up today. Cricketing people know that 30 off 12 can be a massive contribution in T20 cricket. I am very happy to make the impact and want to take responsibility to play in the middle overs as well. It is all about sticking to the processes.
Keshav Maharaj (Durban Super Giants' captain) - It got close in the middle but we controlled it well - specially Noor, Naveen and Junior Dala. It is mostly about sticking to our processes and hopefully we can go all the way. It is good to perform well as a group. We know the conditions here, in Kingsmead, and we were confident of restricting them to under a 170 which was what we did. We will like to thank the crowd and now get refreshed and get ready for the playoffs.
Wayne Parnell (Pretoria Capitals captain): I think very close but I still feel after the start they had they were looking at 230-240. Restricting them to 170, I was very happy at the halfway stage. We just needed one big partnership which didn't happen. Yeah I think it's a combination of things. We lost crucial moments in various games. I think still a lot to play for. Two more group games and we have to see where we stand after that.
Time for the post match presentation ceremony.
Top quality from DSG as they played their last home game of the season and have ended up with a victory by 8 runs! They are more or less guaranteed of top of the table finish. Stay tuned for the post match-presentations!

19.6 Keemo Paul to Adil Rashid, FOUR! A massive final over but DSG still wins it by 8 runs. Opens the bat face and slices away the full-length delivery a shade outside off, down towards the vacant deep point region. The impetus came from Rashid but a bit too late.
19.5 Keemo Paul to Adil Rashid, full-length delivery a shade outside off, creams this over the extra cover fielder and returns for a brace.
15 needed off 2!
19.4 Keemo Paul to Adil Rashid, FOUR! Pace off delivery into the surface, was a short ond and Rashid jumps off his feet and carves it away over the short third man fielder and trickles away to the fence.
19.3 Keemo Paul to Adil Rashid, flat bats the slower back of a length delivery a shade outside off, down towards long-off, the long on fielder gets around and keeps it to a couple.
19.2 Keemo Paul to Adil Rashid, SIX! That's an exceptional shot from Adil Rashid. That was on the fuller side a shade outside off, carved away by Rashid by opening the bat face and sends it just over the deep point boundary. Quite exceptional shot from a lower order.
19.2 Keemo Paul to Adil Rashid, pace off delivery into the surface, a shade outside off and Rashid was way too early into the attempted swing across the line. Keemo Paul has breached the front line and it will be a free hit.
19.1 Keemo Paul to Daryn Dupavillon, slashes away the full one a shade outside off, down towards the deep cover-point region and has to settle for a single.
Keemo Paul [2.0-0-24-0] comes back into the attack.

18.6 Junior Dala to Daryn Dupavillon, Dupavillon digs out the full one around middle, down towards the long-off region and settles for a single.
