DV Ultimate XI beat Royal Eagles by 6 wickets.
Shubham Dhari 34(18) | Ali Nawaz: 2-8 Ali Nawaz: 34 (16) Aswin Sasi: 2-23
So, a comprehensive victory for the DV Ultimate XI and they grab some crucial points in the bag.
Arriving for a chase of 99 runs, the Ultimate XI lost the big-hitter Bobby Patel for a silver duck. It was Ali Nawaz who counter-punched the bowling attack with his magnificent 34 off 16 balls.
Mohammed Ibrahim was the anchorer with 18 off 19 balls. Mueez ul Hassan came into the scene and steered his side past the finishing line with 23 off 13 balls. There were a lot of extras on the offering, 20 to be precise.
Earlier, the Royal Eagles fetched 98 runs on the board, courtesy of some ball-striking from Shubham Dhari. The openers denied anyb wickets inside the powerplay and piled up 44 runs (3).
After the field restriction was over, the wickets started to fall. The Eagles lost four wickets for 20 runs in the next four overs. Avinash Puthran was the first one to be sent back to the hut by a fantastic throw from the in-field. In the following over, Shubham Dhari, who was striking the ball brilliantly, was tricked for 34 (18).
Ali Nawaz was excellent with his spells and bagged two wickets in an over. We got to witness a middle-over collapse for the Eagles but some lusty blows at the cue end from Sheraz Dilbar helped them propel the total to 2 runs shy of a century.

8.6 Aswin Sasi to Kaesar Ahmed, SIX! SEALED IN STYLE! In the slot at the stumps and Kaesar clears his front leg to power his swing over long on. Sends it sailing the full distance and seals a comprehensive victory for his side. DV Ultimate XI win by 6 wickets with an over to spare!
8.6 Aswin Sasi to Mueez ul Hassan, WIDE! Speared down the leg-side again as he loses his line. Getting over very quickly now and the keeper's failure to collect the ball allows a bye to be taken
8.4 Aswin Sasi to Kaesar Ahmed, dipping in very full outside the off stump. Decks away past Kaesar's swipe and beats him as well as the keeper comfortably for the batters to collect a bye
Kaesar Ahmed, RHB, walks out in the middle.
8.4 Aswin Sasi to Umer Jamil, GONE! Short in length outside the off stump as Jamil stands tall and hacks it flat to short mid-wicket. Simplest of takes for the fielder but it might be too little, too late for the Eagles!
Umer Jamil c A Jaiswal b A Sasi 2 (3b, 0x4, 0x6).
8.3 Aswin Sasi to Mueez ul Hassan, OVERTHROWS! Sums up a lot of things for the Eagles. Length delivery at the stumps as Mueez knocks it from his crease to mid-on. Jamil is sent back but an errant throw allows the batters to cross over eventually
One big hit away from the victory now.
8.2 Aswin Sasi to Mueez ul Hassan, SIX! SHOT! Short in length on middle and leg stump. Mueez hops onto the back foot and swivels to help it off his hips. Sends it flying over the fence behind square on the leg-side for half-a-dozen
8.1 Aswin Sasi to Mueez ul Hassan, AH! Low full toss tailing into the pads past Mueez's attempted flick. Rolls to short fine leg and somehow, the bowler gets away with it
8.1 Aswin Sasi to Mueez ul Hassan, ANOTHER WIDE! Speared down the leg-side and the Eagles are losing it with these alone
So we are left with the final two overs of this contest. It's run-a-ball needed to level the score. With wickets in hand, it should be an easy tame for the Ultimate XI.
