An extremely tight contest, but it's EAG who wins it in the end by a margin of 9 runs. After posting a par score of 92/7, EAG bowlers delivered the goods to defend the total and pick up two points.

A disciplined bowling performance saw that none of the SMA batters could stay at the crease for long and pose enough threat.

For EAG, Dhinesh Kumar finished with two scalps while Karan Kannan was the most economical of the lot - conceding only two runs in as many overs.

With the victory, EAG register two points and climbs to the top of the table while SMA will have to wait more to put their first points on the board.
