What an emphatic win here for Mater Dei! They were ahead from the very first over of the game and never lost control. A brilliant 88 run opening stand between Azeem and Patel set them up for a big score and although the Knights pulled things back in the last 3 overs, they still managed to get to 105. In reply, the Knights never got going and kept loosing wickets at regular intervals. Nitin Babu provided some resistance but he ran out of partners and in the end 105 was too tough an ask for the fragile Knights batting line up. For Mater Dei, Pintu Ghosh starred with the ball as he picked up 3 for 16. Overall a clinical performance from Mater Dei and they will take a lot of positives from this game going forward in the tournament.
