One-way traffic from start to finish. The Southern Crusaders have been annihilated at the Marsa Sports Club and this will hurt them big time given how comprehensively they have been outplayed.

If anything, the manner in which Mithila Avishka was run out without facing a delivery summed up what was to come. That was metaphoric of a chase that never got going with the Crusaders struggling to find the fence when needed. The score read 10/3 at the end of the powerplay and that signaled the end of the road.

The Knights' medium-pacers didn't miss a beat alright! They hit their radar to the T and kept the batters on their toes, eventually wrapping up a thumping victory. Ishantha Kariyawasam did hit a couple of boundaries but the Crusaders simply needed a plethora of them which eventually never came their way. They have quite a lot of work to do now in order to restore parity in the reverse-fixture.

The ordeal ends for the Crusaders. They just never got going and eventually, Edex Knights romp home by 57 runs!
