England XI 35/2 in 1.5 overs Sam Young 18*(5) | Waqar Ali 2/14 Cameron Hemp 8*(2)
England XI were always going to try and finish it off as quickly as possible but Cyprus couldn't even take it beyond the powerplay as they finished things off in just 1.5 overs and won the match by 8 wickets.
Sam Young got dropped once but he had a good hit in the middle and he whacked a few en route to his brief 18 run unbeaten cameo of 5 balls. He was partnered by Cameron Hemp who hit the winning runs for England XI and picked up a couple of fours to finish off the game.
Waqar Ali picked up a couple of wickets in the first over itself and it was the only consolation for Cyprus. He got rid of David Scott with a superb yorker before cleaning up Fallows with one that was too full for him to play the helicopter shot. Overall, it was a really lop sided contest and England XI made a mockery out of it in the end.
1.5 Tejwinder Singh to Cameron Hemp, FOUR RUNS! VICTORY TO ENGLAND XI! Length ball around off-stump. Hemp moved slightly across and lifted it over mid-wicket for a boundary on one bounce!
1.4 Tejwinder Singh to Sam Young, DROPPED! Full around off-stump. Miscued to point with the attempted hoick over mid-on but the fielder there messed it up pretty badly! One run.
1.3 Tejwinder Singh to Sam Young, FOUR! Full around off-stump. Driven past the right of extra cover off the front foot for a boundary!
1.2 Tejwinder Singh to Sam Young, SIX MORE! Full on leg-and-middle. Clipped from the meat of the blade over wide long-on for a maximum!
1.1 Tejwinder Singh to Sam Young, SIX RUNS! Length ball on the pads. Picked up easily over deep square-leg off the middle of the bat for a maximum!
Tejinder Singh, RHB, comes to the crease.
End of a really eventful first over from Waqar Ali. He went for three boundaries but also picked up a couple of wickets. Cyprus are not willing to give up easily though and they're hanging in there.

England XI need 35 runs to win in 10 overs.
Cyprus 34 all out in 8.4 overs Mangala Gunasekara 13(15) | Conner Haddow 3/13 Taranjit Singh 6(4) | Rich Edwards 2/6
This has been a disgraceful batting effort from Cyprus and they've been blown away by England XI here. Spanish coach Corey Rutgers had said at the toss that this might be a bit of a David vs Goliath contest but it turned out to be worse for the Cyprus side. They couldn't bat out their entire 10 overs and succumbed to a low total.
They kept loosing wickets at regular intervals and they lost five wickets in the powerplay itself. Their overseas Zimbabwean recruit Scott Austin couldn't help their cause either and there were just three boundaries in the entire innings. It was only Mangala Gunasekara who managed to get to double figures and he picked up a couple of boundaries which helped to get past the 20 mark. In the end they succumbed to the lowest score in this year's ECC.
The English side were really switched on in the field and were outstanding with their fielding efforts. They hardly gave any opportunities to the weak Cyprus batting line up. The two seamers wrecked havoc in the powerplay as Haddow and Edwards shared 5 wickets between them. Once they were done, the spinners came in and wrapped things up as they shared the remainder of the five wickets amongst themselves and hardly gave any runs away.
