Thank you for joining us- Mohul Bhowmick and Raghav- for this exciting game in the ECS where we saw Farmers crash to their second defeat in the day. We hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we did bringing it to you. Until next time, ciao!
Hornchurch beat Farmers by 6 wickets!
George Hankins 34 (17) | Toby Britton 2/17 Chris Sains 21* (17) | Mark James 2/18
In the end, this game turned out to be completely in favour of the side from England. Hornchurch were the better side throughout this game, and were its deserving winners. Farmers will have a lot of takeaways from this match, and one can only wish them well given the sort of talent they have in their roster.
Young Toby Britton bowled exceedingly well today. Despite claiming just one wicket, he caused trouble for the Hornchurch batters and was one of the primary reasons why the game came down to the ninth over. For the side from England, George Hankins and Chris Sains played impeccable knocks, and reassured those of their teammates in the dressing room.
Farmers' captain James Perchard can be proud of the way his side performed in this competition, and although things did not go their way today, they can still hold their head high. The likes of Nicolaj Damsgaard, Oliver Hald and Thomas Shenton are but a few bright spots in the side hailing from Jersey.
9.0
8.2 Thomas Shenton to Chris Sains, FOUR! Hornchurch win by 6 wickets and with 10 balls to spare. It was short and wide, Sains was never missing out on it. He rocks back and cuts it through point for a boundary!
8.1 Thomas Shenton to Harry Hankins, fires it on the pads, swept down the ground to deep midwicket for a single
Hornchurch are now just one boundary away from victory! The side from Jersey have not quite been able to compete with them on level footing today.

7.5 Rhys Palmer to Chris Sains, length ball on fourth stump, Sains lunges forward to defend
7.4 Rhys Palmer to Harry Hankins, touch short and outside off, Hankins swings across and gets an underedge past the keeper for a single
7.3 Rhys Palmer to Chris Sains, full and outside off, turns in sharply and goes through the batter and the keeper, single stolen
7.2 Rhys Palmer to Chris Sains, SIX! Pressure realesing shot from Sains. Floats it around off, Sains goes down on one knee and brings out the slog sweep to clear deep midwicket. 10 needed now.
7.1 Rhys Palmer to Chris Sains, on length and around off, fenced to point
Rhys Palmer, right arm off break, comes into the attack.
Hornchurch are extending this game unnecessarily. They need to wrap this game up quickly if they intend to better their net run rate.
