This was an excellent game of cricket here in ECSN Portugal. Sadly it has come to an end. Hope you enjoyed our coverage here on the Sportskeeda network. Do check out other live matches happening at this point in time, including the warmup game between India and Bangladesh.
However, for the time being this is me Vatsal on behalf of Rajarshi signing off. Thank you for tuning in!
What a great game of cricket here in ECSN Portugal. A game which could have gone either way and gone the way of the Fighters CC as they record a narrow three-run victory over the Porto Wanderers.
Having won the toss and deciding to bat first, Fighters posted a decent score of 139. However, at one point in the run chase, it felt like that the Porto side would easily chase it down. But in the end, it was the ninth over which changed the course of the game, where they lost the important wicket of John Zinkus.
Junaid Bashir was the star with the bat for the Porto Wanderers. He smashed 63 of just 27 balls but in the end his efforts went in vain. Fighters CC defended 16 runs in the final over to eliminate their opponents from the game.
Rahul was the pick of the bowlers as far as the Fighters are concerned. He picked up two wickets.

9.6 Jatinder Singh to Premal Rajani, Jatinder wins it for the Fighters CC! He goes full and at the blockhole, following Rajani as he makes room. Rajani had a swing at it, but could not make any contact. Two in two for the Fighters CC over Porto Wanderers today!
9.5 Jatinder Singh to Kanaka Sabhapathy, full, on leg stump, heaved towards the man at deep square. Just a single... 4 off 1 needed with Rajani on strike...
5 off 2 balls! Nail-baiting stuff here....
9.4 Jatinder Singh to Kanaka Sabhapathy, FOUR fortuitous runs! Full outside off, Sabhapathy has a swing at this one, gets a thick outside edge, the ball flies over the circle towards deep backward point and lands just inside the ropes out there
9.3 Jatinder Singh to Premal Rajani, full, on the pads, Rajani looks to flick it away, misses out. The batters scamper through for a leg bye
9.2 Jatinder Singh to Premal Rajani, back of a length angled across the batter, Rajani has a swipe across, doesn't make contact
9.1 Jatinder Singh to Premal Rajani, SIX! What a start to the final over this is for the Wanderers! Full, in the slot on middle and leg, Rajani has a slog, connects and the ball flies over cow corner
Jatinder Singh [1.0-0-15-0] will bowl the last over.
Fighters CC have given themselves a great chance to win this one! Two BIG wickets in the previous over. 16 needed off the final over.

8.6 Lalit Kumar to Jonathan Gunasekara, TAKEN ON THE SECOND ATTEMPT! Full and wide of off, Gunasekara had a wild heave across the line, got a thick edge, the ball traveled towards the left of the man at deep third, who got behind this one, fluffed it the first time but managed to catch it on the rebound to his right.
Jonathan Gunasekara c Harjot Sahota b Lalit Kumar 7 (3b, 0x4, 1x6).
8.5 Lalit Kumar to Premal Rajani, low full toss on leg stump, dug out towards deep mid wicket for a single
Oh that must have been painful for Rajani. However, he seems alright and ready to face the next ball.
8.4 Lalit Kumar to Premal Rajani, dear me! Skiddy, hard length delivery on off stump, this one was right onto Rajani before he knew it. Hits him on the leg, and he seems down for the count
Premal Rajani, RHB, is the new batter.
8.3 Lalit Kumar to John Zinkus, ZINKUS HAS RUN HIMSELF OUT! Low full toss on leg stump, Zinkus digs this one out towards deep square. The batters decided on an improbable second run as the fielder charged in from the deep. The throw to the keeper was dead accurate - right on the full, and Zinkus was out by yards when the stumps were broken.
John Zinkus run out (Deepu Mansurpuria/Muhammad Bilal) 35 (13b, 0x4, 5x6).
8.2 Lalit Kumar to John Zinkus, full and wide of off, Zinkus made room and had a heave, didn't make contact with the ball this time
