MATCH OVER!
Fort Charlotte Strikers won by six wickets!
Botanical Gardens Rangers 87/7 (10) Fort Charlotte Strikers 88/4 (9.1)
Superb composure from the young Sealroy Williams and a superb win for the Fort Charlotte Strikers. Needing 88 for victory, Gidron Pope and Salvan Browne got off to a decent start with them putting on 25/0 at the end of three overs. However, Kenneth Dember removed Gidron off the last delivery of his spell. Donwell Hector came in and joined Salvan to get the innings back on track.
The pair took advantage of a few dropped catches and smacked 20 runs off the sixth over. Hector was dismissed in the seventh over bowled by Ravendra Persaud and Carlos Brathwaite also departed off Keron Cottoy's bowling soon enough. Wickets continued to fall as Kesrick Williams castled Salvan off the fourth delivery in the penultimate over. Kesrick had the chance of making it difficult for the Strikers but he conceded a boundary off the last delivery as the batting side only required eight off the last six balls.
Roshon Primus came up to deliver the final over but a front-foot no-ball off the very first delivery made things easy for the Strikers. Southpaw Sealroy struck a superb six off the free-hit as the Strikers got home with five balls to spare!
9.1 Roshon Primus to Sealroy Williams, SIX! GAME.SET.MATCH! Short of a length, Williams stands deep in his crease and nails the pull over deep mid-wicket for a maximum to seal things in style
9.1 Roshon Primus to Jerome Jones, drives the fuller delivery to long-on for a single. Oh wait, the replay shows that Primus has overstepped and it's been signaled a no-ball. Free-hit loading
Roshon Primus [1-0-6-0] is back into the attack
Such a crucial boundary to close out the penultimate over. Fort Charlotte Strikers need eight off six balls now
