That's it from the group C Final. Beveren qualify for the championship week. This is me, Divyansh signing off on behalf of my partner, Pragadeesh. Goodnight.
Absolutely crazy scenes as Fossum did not complete the first 9 overs in time, and they were penalised 5 runs because of it. Beveren needed 4 runs to win at the end of 9 overs and they got the win without playing another ball.
They bowled well to hold on to the short total, they got the wickets in the middle overs but Said came in and played a brilliant cameo alongside Khaksar who stayed on and anchored the win.
Alakhel got 2 wickets, Taraki and Niazi got one each. Javed Khan took his merry time bowling the 9th over and that cost them a chance to defend 4 runs in the last over.
They are going to be given a penalty of 5 runs, and they needed 4 to win. Beveren have won the game. Javed Khan did not realise that time was running out and he took his time.

8.6 Javed Khan to Hakim Khaksar, yorker length outside off-stump, digs it back to the bowler. Fossum can't finish their overs on time and in spite of the extra time given to them, they are still one over short. Beveren are the champions of Group C and booked their place in the championship week
8.5 Javed Khan to Hakim Khaksar, yorker length and it's been jammed back. They take a single and they take another run due to an overthrow
8.5 Javed Khan to Hakim Khaksar, good length outside off-stump, Khaksar plays away from the body and gets beaten
8.4 Javed Khan to Ashiqullah Said, short of a length, Said shuffles down the pitch and drives it wide of long-on for a run
8.3 Javed Khan to Hakim Khaksar, creams the length delivery to cover for one
8.2 Javed Khan to Hakim Khaksar, slices the fuller delivery over extra cover and gets a couple
8.1 Javed Khan to Hakim Khaksar, good length shaping away, Khaksar swings and misses
Said survived a close run out call and then dispatched the last ball for a six. They need just 11 runs from 12 balls now. If the keeper would have hit the wickets, the situation would have been different.

7.6 Asadullah Taraki to Ashiqullah Said, SIX! Full in the slot, Said stands deep in his crease and deposits the half-volley over wide long-on for a maximum
7.5 Asadullah Taraki to Hakim Khaksar, full on leg-stump, Khaksar was hit on the boot and they decide to take a leg-bye. The keeper dives forward and misses the direct hit at the strikers' end
7.4 Asadullah Taraki to Hakim Khaksar, FOUR! Full angling across off, dragged wide of long-on for a boundary
7.3 Asadullah Taraki to Hakim Khaksar, short of a length sliding across off, Khaksar swings away from the body but didn't get any contact
7.2 Asadullah Taraki to Ashiqullah Said, good length and it's been pushed back to the bowler with soft hand. They gallop across to their respective ends
7.1 Asadullah Taraki to Ashiqullah Said, digs the yorker to long-on and the fielder dives to his left and stops it. They take a couple
Said is changing this game single-handedly, literally as he took a one handed blinder in the first innings. He bowled well and he is not doing it with the bat as well. They need 25 runs from 3 overs.
