Vicenza tied with Friends XI (Vicenza win the golden ball)
What a crazy end to the match. Well, ECS delivers time and again with these exciting battles. There's no way that Vicenza would be the last team standing, considering how things unfolded until the fourth over of the game. They looked down and out after getting a slow start but Gill smoked 32 runs off Jaswinder's over to take the team to the golden ball and took his team to the finish line eventually
We were in a break after the last two games were abandoned but the finish was nothing short of extraordinary. There were doubts whether we would start this match after rain spoiled sport initially, but it stopped at the right time and we witnessed a thriller to sign off our night. It's time to end the coverage here, until next time, this is Darpan alongside myself, Pragadeesh, saying goodbye and goodnight
0.1 Noman Ali to Mithu Gill, GOLDEN BALL. Almost a yorker. But Mithu Gill digs it out and sends it to deep midwicket. He turns around and scampers back for two. The throw comes in and the keeper whips the bails off at the striker's end but Gill is already home and pumping the air in joy!! Vicenza win.
Noman Ali is ready to bowl. Mithu Gill is on strike. Here we gooo
Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet. After two called off games and a rain delay, we have been blessed with a golden ball finish!!
What a finish. The ball lands just short of the ropes and Gill goes down in disbelief. He needs to chin up as nothing is lost and everything to play for in the golden ball. He single-handedly fought this battle and took his team almost to the finish line. Golden ball in ECS have been mouth-watering at times and let's hope we have one here now

4.6 Jaswinder Singh to Mithu Gill, FOUR!! TIE!! WE ARE HEADED TO A GOLDEN BALL. Miscued by Mithu Gill as he tried to whack it with all his might. The ball flew over short third man and fetched him a streaky but significant boundary.
It was a hit-me delivery in the slot and Gill sends the ball where it deserves to go. Can Jaswinder get it right in the last ball?
4.5 Jaswinder Singh to Mithu Gill, back to over the wicket. SIX MORE!!! Mithu gets to a fifty!!! Now they need only 5 to win of the last ball. This was whacked over wide long off for a huge one.
Oh, what a strike. He gets underneath the ball by staying deep and pumps it from the crease
4.4 Jaswinder Singh to Mithu Gill, switches to around the wicket. Delivers in the slot and BAM!!! It has been smacked straight down the ground for SIX!!! 11 runs to win off 2 balls now.
Game on here. Jaswinder can't get it right and he's been crunched over deep cover
4.3 Jaswinder Singh to Mithu Gill, SWEET CONNECTION!! It sails over the cover point boundary for a maximum!! 17 to win off 3 balls now.
4.3 Jaswinder Singh to Mithu Gill, wide outside off. Brings it down to 23 runs to win off 4 balls.
4.2 Jaswinder Singh to Mithu Gill, GETS FOUR!!! He played an elevated drive to extra cover off the backfoot. Fielder tried to chase it down but the ball won the race. 24 to win off 4 balls now.
4.2 Jaswinder Singh to Mithu Gill, wide outside off. Now, they need 28 runs to win off 5 balls.
4.1 Jaswinder Singh to Mithu Gill, SHORT AND WIDE!! Gill throws his hands at the ball. It flies over point and then trickles away to just kiss the boundary rope.
Jaswinder Singh to bowl the final over of the match
It looked like an exciting chase at the start but this match has become a mere formality at the moment
