Commentary

Italy have avenged their defeat to Germany in the best possible manner that they could have! Setting them a good target of 120 runs batting first, that proved to be way too much in the end, as a listless German side was skittled out for just 84! A complete performace in the field as they took every chance that came their way, kept picking wickets, never allowed Germany to get back into the game whatsoever.

Ravi Paul was sensational with his fast bowling, the major reason behind the collapse, picking four wickets at the top as he kept knocking those stumps over for fun. Damith Kosala with three and Jaspreet with two in the end as well ensuring that Italy closed this off just the way they would have wanted to. What a terrific comeback this has been from them!

Four losses at the start to four back-to-back wins as they go into finals day high on confidence and belief. A dismal performance by the Germans and they will not be happy with how the final game has ended for them. Well, fair to say that Italy have made a clear statement here and this should set the tone for what is going to a thoroughly exciting finals day.
