So, that is it from myself, Karthik Raj as I wrap up the proceedings of this fixture. Stay tuned to Sportskeeda with a lot more cricket coming up tomorrow including the all-important 5th day of the WTC final between India and Australia. Until then, take rest while I bid adieu for now!
A fine seven-wicket win as the defending champions Scarlet Ibis Scorchers register a seven-wicket victory to kick off the campaign. Despite scoring 133/0, the Scorchers' opening duo of Joshua Da Silva and Kamil Pooran made a mockery of the chase. The pair smashed 103 runs off the first six overs with Da Silva posting a 12-ball fifty.
However, Mark Deyal made things interesting as he dismissed Kamil and Tion Webster in the seventh over. The equation a lot more closer when Da Silva got hit out off Justin Gangoo's bowling in the next over. However, the duo of Vikesh Harrylochan and Joshua Ramdoo kept their calm and took the Scorchers over the line with four balls to spare!
9.2 Denzil Antoine to Vikesh Harrylochan, OVER THE FENCE AND THAT IS THAT! Full delivery, Vikesh strikes it high in the air towards long-on where the fielder leaps high but the ball goes over him for a maximum. So, it is the Scorchers who win by seven wickets!
9.1 Denzil Antoine to Vikesh Harrylochan, FOUR! Full-toss down the leg-side, Vikesh heaves it behind square for a boundary. Poor start to the over!
8.6 Shatrughan Rambaran to Joshua Ramdoo, length delivery, Ramdoo runs down the track and swings hard while he gets an outside-edge which runs fine of the fielder at short third. Two runs taken
8.5 Shatrughan Rambaran to Vikesh Harrylochan, full and wide of off, Vikesh looks to slog but he gets an inside-edge which deflects off the keeper's pad to short fine-leg. Single taken
8.4 Shatrughan Rambaran to Vikesh Harrylochan, full and wide of off, Vikesh drags it to deep square-leg before coming back for the second run
8.3 Shatrughan Rambaran to Joshua Ramdoo, short of a length and wide of off, Ramdoo looks to power it over long-off but he mis-times it in front of the deep fielder. Single taken
8.2 Shatrughan Rambaran to Joshua Ramdoo, SIX! Touch short from Rambaran, Ramdoo rocks back and pulls it in front of square for a maximum
8.1 Shatrughan Rambaran to Vikesh Harrylochan, full outside-leg, Vikesh looks to slog but he misses it. LBW appeal turned down while a leg-bye is taken

7.2 Justin Gangoo to Joshua Ramdoo, RUN-OUT MISSED! Short delivery with width, Ramdoo cuts it to cover-point while Vikesh takes off for a non-existent run. The fielder positoned at cover-point fires the ball to the bowler who fumbles as Vikesh survives!
7.1 Justin Gangoo to Joshua Da Silva, GONE! Short of a length and sliding in, Da Silva backs away to play the cut shot but he strikes the off-ball instead of connecting with the ball. What a massive moment in the game! Giants T&T on top here!
