In the end, the result turned out to be as one-sided as one could possibly have hoped for. The Netherlands won this game quite comfortably and ensured that they took away a lot of positives from it. The women in orange were technically the better side.

Gibraltar, for their part, will learn a lot as well. They will, however, be proud of the fact that they managed to bat out all the ten overs bowled by the Dutch, and did not get all out in between. This will be a great learning curve for them, and one that they cannot afford to neglect.

For the Dutch, van Beuge and Zwilling put up a decent showing with the bat, with the former also bagging two wickets for just five runs with the ball in hand. They will both be happy with their performance. However, they will know that this opposition was no opposition at all for their standards.

This game turned out to be quite a David vs Goliath contest, and in the end, it was The Netherlands, who ended up being the rightful winner. There is no doubt that they were the better side today. Gibraltar, however, need not lose heart. They too put up a decent showing.
