Siddharth Yadav played a sensational knock and despite fighting hard, he couldn't help the Lions cross the finish line. Goswami played a steady knock but the Superstars bowlers kept things tight in the first 10 overs and didn't let the opposition get ahead in the contest.

Even Yadav was circumspect at the start but once he settled himself into a nice groove, he went after the bowlers and was dealing in boundaries and sixes. He brought a scare on the faces of the Lions' players but due to a lack of support from the other batters, the burden became too much for him. Yadav denied the single and faced more deliveries but eventually, his sublime knock only helped the Lions to reduce the deficit of the defeat
