Match Summary
Guernsey beat Belgium by 8 wickets
Ben Fitchet *87 (26) | Adam Martel - 2/19 (2) Sherry Butt - 66 (24 | Adnan Razzaq -1/13 (1)
Well, that contest has got over in the blink of an eye as Fitchett ends things in some hard-hitting fashion! A good target was set by Belgium but chased even more beautifully by Guernsey as they managed to hit big runs from the get-go.The opening batters got an amazing start as they kept hitting their big runs all over the park. The bowling side was unable to take a single wicket at the end of the batting powerplay and the pressure was building on the bowlers in full power.
Zaki Shah got the first breakthrough as he built some pressure on the batters but all of it went in vain as the batters managed to build some immense pressure as they hit the big runs in full swing. It was Fitchett and Nightingale who hit the boundaries back to back as they got the runs coming in and even though Nighingale didn't get to finish the innings the damage was already done for the batting side.
8.4 Khalid Ahmadi to Ben Fitchet, SIX! That's game set and match for Guernsey. On a length a shade outside off, Fitchet gets down on one knee and half slogged half swept over the long-on fence. What a sensational run chase.
8.3 Khalid Ahmadi to Josh Buttler, single taken towards the midwicket region.
8.2 Khalid Ahmadi to Josh Buttler, on a good-length a shade outside off, Buttler inside edges this onto his pads.
8.1 Khalid Ahmadi to Josh Buttler, Buttler goes for the ramp to a low full toss which has been dropped by the fine leg fielder. Takes a brace.
Well it looks like the match will be ending in this one as both the batters are on a roll here.

7.6 Shafiullah Zakhel to Ben Fitchet, SIX! That was on a length again a shade outside off, was a bit slower through the air and that has been slogged away over the widish long-on fence.
7.5 Shafiullah Zakhel to Tom Nightingale, worked away off a fuller-length around middle towards the midwicket region.
7.4 Shafiullah Zakhel to Ben Fitchet, Dropped! Around off on a length which gets a top edge and the fielder at cover-point makes a meal of that.
7.3 Shafiullah Zakhel to Ben Fitchet, SIX! This is carnage on display. On a length outside off, smacked down the ground on the rise and clears the long-off fence comfortably.
7.2 Shafiullah Zakhel to Ben Fitchet, SIX! Fitchet moves across the off-stump and the flatter one has been slapped over the deep midwicket fence for another maximum.
7.1 Shafiullah Zakhel to Ben Fitchet, SIX! In the slot around the middle stump, swung away off a length and that has been dispatched well over the deep midwicket fence.
Shaffiullah Zakhel [1-0-32-0] coming back into the attack.
Well the wicket falls but it looks like Belgium are marching towards a defeat here as the batters are on a frenzy!

6.6 Adnan Razzaq to Josh Buttler, punches this length delivery a tad outside off back to the bowler.
Josh Butler, RHB, is the new batter in.
It felt like it was a no-ball but well it looks like the giant partnership has done the damage as it ends here.
6.5 Adnan Razzaq to Tom Nightingale, WICKET! That has been given out. Nightingale was batting deep in his crease. Was a full toss close to being over the waist. An attempted pull and ends up getting a top edge which has been taken by the deep square leg fielder. That could be a lucky break for Belgium.
Tom Nightingale c Zaki Shah b Adnan Razzaq 26 (9b, 3x4, 2x6)
6.4 Adnan Razzaq to Tom Nightingale, FOUR! Another thump down the ground. On a length a shade outside off, that has been crunched down the ground and the long-off fielder had no chance.
