Well, then. That's all we have from this contest. It was an absolute thriller, worthy of a top of the table clash, if there ever was one. Big hits, rapid bowling and drama until the very end. Not often do we see a losing player winning the Player of the Match award. That in itself is a testament to just how good Umran Malik was tonight. Here's what he has to say: I know I can bowl fast but it's important to bowl on the good lengths. Executed my plans well tonight, with the bouncer to Hardik bhai, and then the yorker to Saha because he was trying to shuffle across. "He's a raw talent and is learning the game himself really quickly", adds Hemang Badani. I know that I have to mix it up and not give away much room, especially on these small grounds. Apart from that, we are all bowling well. (On him getting to 155kmps) God willing, I will clock 155 one day, but for now, I'm just looking to bowl well and take wickets for my team.

Hardik Pandya (GT captain): I don't know why. I keep joking in the dressing room, that God is on our side. It's happening quite often, so I'm scared that by the time the big games come around, we might run out of luck. It's been fantastic. People are stepping up. A lot of credit goes to the support staff as well. The kind of environment we've kept. A lot of people get a lot of freedom. It's very chilled out and not much pressure is given to the players, most of it is taken by the support staff. Everyone is stepping up and doing justice to what they're been trusted to do. (On his bowling workload) It wasn't needed tonight. I'm trying to manage it with important games. It's a long tournament, so I don't want to get too excited. I'm waiting for the right time. To be honest, I don't have to show how I'm bowling and all that. Whenever my team will require me to bowl, I will do it. Same with Rahul as well. He's a competitor and is ready whenever the ball is given to him. (On Saha) It was fantastic. He's got a lot of experience and was batting really well throughout the tournament. Unfortunately, in the first couple of games he got out. Today, the opening pair worked out for us. We are quite practical. We have spoken about the various situations. We always back them. They have a lot of self-belief and we have intentionally tried to make sure that in the dugout, to keep the atmosphere calm because it helps the players to play their best game. A lot of credit goes to the support staff for how they've been handling the players.

Kane Williamson (SRH Captain): Firstly, it was a fantastic game of cricket. When you have two strong sides, games are played in small margins. The last over could have gone either way. Good learning for our side and another strong performance against a top of the table opposition. Fantastic finish by Shashank. He hasn't quite had an opportunity and he gave us a good opportunity to post a good total. Credit to Gujarat for the way they played but for us, there are a lot of positives to take and move on. (On Umran) He has been bowling beautifully and he is making the difference. An outstanding performance from him. (Conversations before bowling to Rashid) He has got some of the fastest hands going around. He has done it already in the tournament and he has done it today. The margins are fine, when the pressure is on, there is a lot of learning to be had. Death bowling has been outstanding so far in this competition and credit to Gujarat for a good performance. (On Jansen) He is a strong competitor. The focus is about the cricket that we want to play. It was a good performance but sometimes, you get beaten by the better side or the team that wins the fine moments.

It was written in the stars, wasn't it? After being dismantled with the ball, Rashid Khan turns up with the bat steal a win from the jaws of defeat against his former franchise. What a thriller we've witnessed again and it's the Gujarat Titans again, who have turned up on the right side of the result. They're a box-office side making a habit of this, aren't they?

After half-centuries from Abhishek Sharma and Aiden Markram helped the Sunrisers post a solid total, it was Shashank Singh's cameo that stole 25 runs off the final over against Ferguson. That seemed like it could prove to be the difference between the two sides, but a certain Rashid Khan had a different plan. After being taken to the cleaners by Sharma, the former SRH player was eager to return to the favor.

Wriddhiman Saha played a handy little gem to help his side get off to a flying start, despite Gill being scratchy throughout his innings. The flamethrower that is Umran Malik then wreaked havoc on the Titans' middle order, as the batters and stumps fell like bowling pins against him. The J&K pacer ended with his best figures of 5/25, in what seemed to be the match-winning spell but he's ended up on the losing side.

With 47 needed in the last three overs, Tewatia sprinkled his magic again while Rashid had something to say as well. With 22 needed in the final over, Jansen's off-day went from bad to worse as he was taken to the cleaners by the Titans pair as they helped their side over the line in a nail-biter! Rashid Khan sends the crowd at Wankhede into pandemonium! Jansen goes for the slower ball again but that's probably not the right option here. Williamson has a chat with him again, stringing some field changes. 9 in 3 now...
