Shai Hope (Man of the Match): I missed a couple of matches but I wanted to go out there and express myself. I believe we can chase this. We just stuck to the plan and it came off. Today is one of the days we have to up the ante and that's what I did. This crowd is amazing and hopefully, we can get a couple of more wins. Yes, we can go all the way but it's just one game at a time.
Guyana Amazon Warriors beat St. Lucia Kings by 6 wickets Shai Hope 59(30) | Faf du Plessis 103(59) Shakib Al Hasan 2-33(4) | Mark Deyal 2-32(4)
You can't rule any team out of the tournament in this CPL. That's clear. Guyana Amazon Warriors record their highest successful run chase in CPL. They need a good start while chasing a big total but Gurbaz got them off to a flying start as he smashed the bowlers all around the park inside the powerplay.
Gurbaz got to his maiden half-century but Mark Deyal removed both the openers before sending Shakib for another golden duck in this CPL. Shai Hope and Shimron Hetmyer joined hands and the duo played so circumspect at the start but also punished the loose deliveries.
The fielding from the Kings were so poor as they conceded easy boundaries. Hope suddenly shifted gears and started targeting the spinners as the runs came thick and fast. Joseph ended Hetmyer's stay in the middle but Hope stayed till the end, scored another half-century and guided the team to yet another win in front of the rapturous crowd.
19.2 Matthew Forde to Shai Hope, Gets the winning runs. Guyana Warriors complete their highest run chase in CPL and get two vital points. Short of a length delivery and it's been pulled towards square leg for a single
19.1 Matthew Forde to Shai Hope, FOUR! Back of a length delivery outside off, Hope slaps it in the vacant areas in the off-side and the ball goes to the backward point fence
