Suraj Darai threatened to pull off a Glenn Maxwell but the Sweiqi United were far too professional in the end and sealed the game off with quite some time left. The Gzira United fought hard but 143 was a bridge too far for them in the end.

It was all about Darai as he started off with a bang in the powerplay and manouvered the strike brilliantly in the powerplay as he barely got any support from the other end. Nalin Basnet hung around with him for a while and the pair put up 50 runs for the fourth wicket which proved to be the biggest partnership of the game for them. However once Darai was gone, the wheels came off and the rest of the batters couldn't put up any resistance.

The Sweiqi United bowlers took some tap earlier on but they came back really well at the end as they held their nerves. They nailed the yorkers perfectly and made life really difficult for the batters. Ameer was the pick of the bowlers with his off spin while Bepari picked up a wicket as well.
