Ripoll Warriors win the Golden Ball!
Prince Dhiman - 37 (17) | Ramajot Grewal - 1/4 Muhammad Bilal - 26 (10) | Ameer Hamzah - 3/15
The Ripoll Warriors have stolen that win from right under the nose of the Hawks. The two sides were level at the end of the powerplay, seemingly heading towards a similar tail-off at the backend of the innings before the rain came in during the second innings.
After a slight delay, the Hawks were gifted a kind equation with 12 runs needed off the last couple of overs. They completely lost their heads in the middle and kept throwing wickets away, going through a stuttering collapse.
Zain Mujadi somehow held his nerve to bring the equation down to 2 required off the final ball but could not get his side over the finish line. The eventful golden ball delivered once more with Prince Dhiman eventually holding his nerve to take the Ripoll Warriors to a thrilling victory.
Prince Dhiman holds his nerve! The Ripoll Warriors hold their nerve! What a win for the Warriors. What a game!
0.1 Prince Dhiman to Zain Mujadi, GOLDEN BALL! RIPOLL WARRIORS WIN! Short and just over the middle-stump, Mujadi backs away to heave across the line off the back foot, misses out on connecting it, they then try to run through for a single, the keeper then, after collecting the ball, throws the stumps down at the striker's end and RUNS the non-striker, running in, OUT! NO RUN, and HAWKS LOSE!
Zain Mujadi will be on strike. Prince Dhiman takes the responsibility for the golden ball. It's going right down to the wire, folks!
Just to reiterate the rules of the Golden Ball. The batting team basically has to score 2 runs or more off the ball. If they do that, they win. If they don't, they lose.

6.6 Ramanjot Grewal to Hassan Mujtaba, WE HAVE A GOLDEN BALL! Short outside off, tapped away to the left of cover off the back foot, they try to get back for two after the single is taken, but the RUN OUT does indeed happen at the striker's end with the cool collection from the keeper and the removal of the bails! Hassan Majbata run out (Waqar Khan/Muhammad Masood) 1 (1b, 0x4, 0x6)
Are we going to a golden ball? 2 needed in 1.
Hassan Mujtaba, RHB, comes to the crease
6.5 Ramanjot Grewal to Sheraz Ahmad, OUT! THIS IS A TWIST FOR SURE! Fuller on middle, slower too, a heave across the line, a leading edge to short third man and a CATCH! Sheraz Ahmed c Waqar Khan b Ramanjot Grewal 0 (1b, 0x4, 0x6)
2 needed in 2 balls now.
Drama right till the very end. Sheraz Ahmed, RHB, comes to the crease
6.4 Ramanjot Grewal to Zain Mujadi, WICKET, BUT TWO RUNS! Full down leg, a bit of a flick round the corner to short fine-leg's right, for a misfield, it then goes near to the rope at fine-leg, for a good stop and the batters, in trying to run three, get Javid RUN OUT at the striker's end! Aamir Javid run out (Imran Hussain/Muhammad Masood) 3 (3b, 0x4, 0x6)
6.3 Ramanjot Grewal to Aamir Javid, good length ball on leg, hit around to mid-wicket this time, for only a single.
Chaos in the middle! Magic of the ECS!
6.2 Ramanjot Grewal to Zain Mujadi, WELL WELL! Short down leg, pulled to deep mid-wicket off the back foot, they take one, try to take two, a massive mix-up follows and the fielding team misses out on an easy run out change at the keeper's end!
6.1 Ramanjot Grewal to Aamir Javid, good length ball on leg, helped around to fine-leg off the back foot, for a single.
Ramajot Grewal, left-arm orthodox, takes the responsibility for the final over.
