The Hobart Hurricanes chasing down the total in style and there is one man in this match who has turned out to be the hero for them! Ben McDermott wearing the Superman's cape for Hobart Hurricanes and taking them to victory in style! The match started with the batters who weren't able to middle the ball well for the big runs and an early wicket, with a mountain of runs to chase it was a dream start for the Strikers. The batters did what they could and hit those big runs from time to time with Ben McDermott and D'Arcy Short batting their way through to make a comfortable total. After the dismissal of D'Arcy Short, it was a turnaround for the bowlers and the match was surely a neck to neck one until Ben McDermott, went into the beast mode and he scored his 2nd BBL century in this match and he has got the Hobart Hurricanes the much needed points as they will look to remain 3rd on the table.
Thank you so much for joining us for yet another exciting contest, this is Navjeevan Rajput and Pranav Danani signing off. Until next time.
Hurricanes won by 7 wickets
Ben McDermott (Player of the match): Thank you playing at the top is paying off. In T20 Cricket it does become a bit uncertain at times but I am feeling very good batting out there in the middle. My job was to take on the powerplay and get as much as possible out of the surge. Whenever the ball is there to be hit I take it. It is crucial to get those back-to-back wins as that will help us carry on through this tournament going forward.

18.2 Wes Agar to Ben McDermott, HELPED AWAY!! Full and drifting in on the pads once again, Ben flick-ramps that away over short fine and finds the ropes on the bounce this time
18.1 Wes Agar to Ben McDermott, BEN REACHES HIS CENTURY IN STYLE!! Full toss drifting in on the pads, Ben waits back and pummels that away over deep backward square leg and that flies into the stands. Down to just 7 runs needed now for the Hurricanes to win as well!!
