Hobart Hurricanes Women clinched a comfortable win in the end. And this match ends as a one-sided affair.
It all began with team Adelaide Strikers Women winning the toss and deciding to have a bowl. The hosts came out to bat with attacking intent and posted a humongous 191 runs. The Strikers have probably read the conditions not well and due to this they have been smashed for such amount of runs. For the Hurricanes Lizelle Lee and Nicola Carey took the responsibility on their shoulders and exploited the Striker's bowling attack quite well. Lee reached her consecutive hundred. In bowling, Amy Smith bowled a mind-boggling spell by just giving away 16 runs and taking 1 wicket from the full quota of her 4 overs. Molly Strano and Lauren Smith too helped to bring the Striker's scoring rate at Hallt, by grabbing 1 wicket each.
Adelaide Strikers started off the chase on a high note, with Smriti Mandhana scoring a brilliant 50. But after this, the wickets kept tumbling down, which ended the chasing hopes for the visitors. Laura Wolvaardt though played a crucial knock and took the strikers somewhere close to the target. From the bowling unit, only Megan Schutt took 1 wicket for them.
With this, Adelaide Strikers Women's purple patch continues this season and they are now spotted at the last position. On the other hand, Hobart Hurricanes have climbed to rank 1.

19.6 Molly Strano to Laura Wolvaardt, FINISHES WITH ANOTHER BOUNDARY, short again and Wolvaardt pumps it wide of mid-wicket once more, wonder where all this hitting was earlier in this chase. It has only reduced the margin of victory but it still a comprehensive 28-run win for the Hurricanes
19.5 Molly Strano to Laura Wolvaardt, AND AGAIN, dropped short and Wolvaardt pounces on it, into the gap and that would be another boundary, all too late for the Strikers this
19.4 Molly Strano to Laura Wolvaardt, FOUR MORE, short again, pulled away into the gap at mid-wicket for a boundary
19.3 Molly Strano to Laura Wolvaardt, ALL THER WAY, full on the stumps, Wolvaardt clubs it over mid-wicket and it carries over the ropes, brings up her fifty but that will be in vain
19.2 Molly Strano to Bridget Patterson, slow and on the stumps, punched through cover, just a single
19.1 Molly Strano to Bridget Patterson, on a length and on the stumps, Patterson smacks that through the leg side, picks up two
Just mere formalities are left now. We have already got the winner

18.2 Amy Smith to Laura Wolvaardt, CLUBBED, slow and into the stumps, Wolvaardt nails the slog sweep in front of mid-wicket, picks up four

Amy Smith [3.0-0-8-1] is back into the attack
Another catching opportunity has been dropped. Pathetic fielding efforts in the outfield today by both teams.
