The two teams will get enough chances to qualify for the semi-final and we might witness a repeat of last year. 07:30 PM IST- Not the best news coming in folks. The legendary rivalry between Tendulkar and Lara has fizzled out even before the toss. Due to wet outfield conditions, the match has been called off. All the cricket lovers were eagerly looking forward to rewinding their memories but Alas it never happened.

Ahh well, there's been a bit of rain around at Kanpur, and so, the coin toss has been delayed!

A very good evening to everyone, and welcome to Sportskeeda's live coverage of the 2022 Road Safety World Series T20 fixture between the India Legends and the West Indies Legends! This is Rajarshi, and I'll be shortly joined by my friend and co-commentator Arya as we truly look forward to type out the names and deeds of the cricketers we were mesmerized by all these years over the course of the next 3 and a half hours!

Both the teams have got off to winning starts in the Road Safety World Series this year, and both of them have done so in convincing fashion! India Legends faced the South Africa Legends in the inaugural fixture of the tournament, and thanks to generous contributions from the top-order, Stuart Binny's blistering 82 not out and some all too familiar fireworks from Yusuf Pathan towards the end, India Legends were able to put up a total of 217 on the board, one that proved to be way too much for the South Africa Legends to chase down! The spinners ruled the roost in the second innings, with Rahul Sharma, Pragyan Ojha and Yuvraj Singh picking up 6 out of the 9 wickets, helping India Legends complete a win by 61 runs!

The West Indies Legends were a part of the following fixture against Bangladesh Legends the next day, and they never let the Bangladesh Legends batting line-up surface from the early pressure that the West Indies Legends bowlers put on them! It took 6 overs for Bangladesh Legends to get to double figures after skipper Shahadat Hossain won the toss and opted to have a bat. The pitch was certainly proving to be tough for stroke-making as the day progress, and thanks to a 27-ball 22 from Dhiman Ghosh, Bangladesh Legends limped their way to 98 before being bowled out with 2 balls remaining in the innings. Despite bowling well at stages towards the start, the presence of Dwayne Smith at the crease ensured that the West Indies Legends, despite losing a few wickets having come close to the target, were in no pressure to wrap things up, and so, they coasted home with 6 wickets and over 4 overs to spare.

All in all, we are in for an exhibition. A literal exhibition match, as a matter of fact! But one that'll trigger many, many memories and take us back to possibly happier times. So grab a snack, sit back, and enjoy the action!
