That's all from us for the day. We have the final match of the series coming up on Sunday. Do join us for that right here. Until then, this is Bala and Shashwat Kumar signing off. Good night!
So India take an unassailable lead in the T20I series. It was the first game of the tour that went down to the wire. But the visitors still couldn't quite finish it off. Like skipper Kieron Pollard said, they have plenty of positives to take out of this game.
Rishabh Pant is the Player of the Match: As long as the team wants me to bat anywhere, it's fine. I think all of us were waiting for the catch. I don't mind playing the situation. I just want to clear my head and play the situation. I think the more you practise, the better you get. The only thing we were talking about was that we will play according to the ball. We do not need to try different things. It's never easy, this is what I wanted to become. I can't be just saying this or that. He was hitting bullets out there. At the back of my mind, I was a bit happy too (chuckles)
Rohit Sharma: Phenomenal finish to the game. Right from the start, we knew it's going to be tough. Knew that the game will go to the last ball. Under pressure, we executed the plans. (Bhuvneshwar Kumar) Absolutely, very critical, given the situation of the game. That's where experience comes into play. Bhuvi has been doing that for many years. Capable of nailing the yorkers and bowling the odd bouncer. We belive in his talent a lot. (Virat Kohli) Very important that innigns of his. Took the pressure off me as well. We didn't start well in the first two overs. Great finish in the end by Rishabh and Venky Iyer. Very happy to see how he has progressed. Great to see that level of maturity. That's something the captain looks forward to. In the end, he asked me if he has to bowl an over as well. We were a bit sloppy (on the field) to be honest. Little disappoineted with that. We could have done a little better by taking those chances. We want to rectify those mistakes.
Kieron Pollard: (Rovman Powell) He was phenomenal today. I enjoyed that partnership. His partnership with Pooran almost got us over the line. I am pleased, not with the result, but pleased with the consistency. Pooran scored another fifty, Powell scored a fifty. We could look at different ways about getting that 8 runs. The ball was moving around even in the first innings and they have got good bowlers. You have to give credit where it's due. 40 odd runs in the powerplay, just one wicket down. We could have gone harder. Again, we can look at different things. (On Roston Chase) He came in place of Jason Holder in the previous game. He had a good CPL. We trusted him and he delivered. We were a bit slow in the middle overs in the previous game. We rectified it today. Again, it's a work in progress.
Bhuvneshwar Kumar: I was just believing in myself. Rohit told me if I gave 9-10 runs, it will be good. I backed my strengths. Powell was probably hitting it at 200 km/hr. It is always difficult to bowl yorkers with the wet ball but we backed ourselves. We tried a few slower balls that gripped but a few didn't grip also. Definitely (pulling out a double bluff). If you let them know that you are bowling in a certain area, they are very powerful and it becomes difficult. (On his body) Don't want to say too much about that (chuckles)!
India win by 8 runs and take an unassailable lead of 2-0!
Nicholas Pooran cannot believe it. He has his hands on his head, sitting in the West Indies dug out. They were right in the chase until the penultimate over of the innings. The over from Bhuvneshwar Kumar completely changed the game. He not only dismissed a set Pooran, but gave away just 4 runs in that over, which meant that West Indies had to make an improbable 25 runs in the final over. Rovman Powell hit a couple of big ones, but the target proved to be a bit too much for them in the end.
The chase was all about the partnership between Nicholas Pooran and Rovman Powell. Both of them scored half-centuries, despatching the ball to all the corners of the stadium. While it was crafty hitting by Pooran, Powell bludgeoned the ball, giving no respect whatsoever.
They powered West Indies to a strong stage. But the slightly subdued beginning left them too much to do at the back end. They would be disappointed that they could not complete this chase with a lot of powerhitters like Holder, Smith and Shepherd waiting in the shed. Ultimately, the struggle at the top from Brandon King might have just made the difference.
The twin-spin attack of Yuzvendra Chahal and Ravi Bishnoi couldn't make a lot of impact in today's game with the dew coming into effect. But they were still economical, going at around 7 runs per over and picking up a wicket each. Bhuvneshwar Kumar was brilliant, especially at the death, and was the most economical among the Indian bowlers.

19.6 Harshal Patel to Kieron Pollard, THAT WILL BE THAT! Another low full toss outside off stump. Pollard comes forward and bunts the ball down the ground towards long on for just a single
19.5 Harshal Patel to Rovman Powell, slower low full toss outside off stump. Powell has another swing at it but only manages to chalk the ball down the ground towards long on for one
That's two out of the ground. 11 from 2 required now! Two sixes will win it for them. A six and a four will result in a tie.
19.4 Harshal Patel to Rovman Powell, SIX! HUMONGOUS! Right in the slot outside off stump. Powell camps deep in his crease and absolutely clatters it over cow corner for a maximum! That is still in the air!
19.3 Harshal Patel to Rovman Powell, SIX! WEST INDIES STILL IN IN! Full delivery just outside off stump. Powell sits back deep in his crease and pumps it over long on for a maximum!
Four sixes are required now. Can Powell do a Brathwaite?
19.2 Harshal Patel to Kieron Pollard, length delivery outside off stump. Pollard reaches out and drills the ball down the ground towards long off for just another single. Would have been a wide had he left it!
19.1 Harshal Patel to Rovman Powell, top yorker on middle and leg stump. Powell continues swinging like a rusty gate and only manages an inside edge that jams into his pads. Just a single!
Bhuvneshwar Kumar has delivered just when it mattered. West Indies have a mountain of a task ahead of them.
25 runs required off the final over. Rovman Powell on strike.
