Niki Prasad (captain, India Women U19): When the batters walked, we stayed calm and showed that intent. Sri Lanka bowled really well. The bowlers were pretty confident and they wanted to pick up wickets quickly. I think it is the gut feeling, the bowlers feel that there can be a wicket there and we go with that. Every game we would like to give our 110% and keep winning

Manudi Nanayakkara (captain, Sri Lanka Women U19): We did some mistakes in the powerplay, we targeted singles and normal shots. The bowlers and fielders did a good job but the batters did some mistakes in the chase. We want to comeback in the next game

This clash promised to be an engaging one with both teams expected to throw punches, however, India dominated a phase and ended up taking the whole match in their grasp. They top Group A without losing a game while Sri Lanka's two-game unbeaten streak has been halted here by a stomping Indian side.

India picked up five wickets in the first five overs and capitalised on the contest right then. For Sri Lanka, only Rashmika Sewwandi was able to cross double digits but couldn't bat for a long time. Sri Lanka managed to stay till the end and bat out the full course of 20 overs but it felt like a struggle for them, with the winning margin being less than the score they managed.
