So that is that for this contest. It ebbed and flowed and we expect this series to continue to deliver a lot of quality just as it has thus far. A proud and happy captain there. Alyssa Healy will be mighty pleased with the professional display put up by her team on the park and with a 2-1 series lead, the Aussies will be itching to take an unassailable one in three days' time at this very venue. India have things to work out, considering that they let a winning position slip out of hand. They will go back to the drawing board and seek to address those before Saturday's all-important contest.

Alyssa Healy (Australia Captain): (On the recovery with the bat) We pride ourselves on that middle-order and the damage they can do. They showed exactly that when they got the opportunity. We got a decent score on the board. It's highly stressful and I definitely thought I dropped the game there when Harman stepped out (the missed stumping chance). The bowlers stepped up and I thought they did a really good job there. (On Darcie Brown) A bit of a rough start but the way she stuck to her strengths and hit the stumps was great. Proud of her. (On the middle-order) We were winning the battle being one down (grins). I thought they did a fantastic job. The impact that Grace Harris had to score 41 off 18 was phenomenal and I thought Ellyse Perry played an outstanding knock today. Proud of the batting group but very proud of the bowling group too.

Ellyse Perry is the Player of the Match for her superlative knock of 75. Here's what she has to say: Nice to get an opportunity tonight. I thoguth Grace was exceptional there with a quickfire innings. I thought we battled hard tonight. I really enjoy any opportunity I get to play for Australia. The challenge is always to improve and keep developing. There were probably not as many runs out there than there was at DY Patil. It brought the bowlers into the game and I thought India bowled really well in the powerplay. Then our bowlers hung in there and picked up wickets. There was a bit of bounce in it but we played here about four years ago. I distinctly remember there being some bounce in the track.

Harmanpreet Kaur (India captain): I think the newcomers are taking the responsibility, they are very much aware of the plans, impressed with them with the ball. Restricting them to 170 odd, we thought we could chase it down and in the end we didn't score too many boundaries, we played too many dot balls too and that didn't work for them. We had that in mind that me or Shafali to play in the end, we have to play free cricket, we have the batting depth and we thought we went for the runs but didn't work today.

Darcie Brown: Wasn't ideal start for me, glad we were able to get the win in the end. (About the pace and bounce of the pitch) Once I landed it on the pitch, it felt right, nice to see what Indian pitches are like. (About runs on the board in the end) We've got a great bowling attack, can defend anything, we back ourselves and we did it today. (About new ball) Wasn't slippery at all, my wrist was a bit lazy, I was a pretty unbalanced, I'm going to have a look at the footage, don't ever want that to happen again. Looks a bit different, there's a bit of a bounce, swing too, enjoyed it. We're pace bowlers, we got to bowl at some point, good to be with Schutt.

They were in command at the halfway mark of the chase but India will rue how things came apart thereafter. They complicated matters for themselves with a couple of loose shots but what an inspired bowling display by the Aussies and an equally enterprising bit of captaincy by Alyssa Healy, after Ellyse Perry and Grace Harris saw them post 172.

Darcie Brown sent down a total of 9 runs in the first over - all in the form of wides. It was a shocker of a start but she redeemed herself brilliantly to remove both Smriti Mandhana and Jemimah Rodrigues in the powerplay. With the latter looking in great nick, the in-decker that jagged back in to trap her in front was the perfect tonic needed to lift the spirits of the side.

Shafali Verma lived a charmed life with Ashleigh Gardner dropping her early in the innings. But the Rohtak-born opener was determined to make it count. She took down Nicola Carey after taking Alana King downtown as well to power the chase along and despite Perry peppering her with the short-pitched stuff, Shafali was in no mood to stop, racking up a half-century along the way. Harmanpreet Kaur took her time initially and with a stumping chance going her way with Healy making a mess of it, she managed to pick up pace.

Once Shafali was prized out though, it all came apart for the hosts. The asking rate mounted steadily and the decision to spike Devika Vaidya up the order didn't pay dividends. Gardner removed her and Richa Ghosh within the space of a few deliveries and once Harmanpreet holed out, it was the final nail in the coffin. Just like that, from a position of strength, India let the initiative slip out of hand post which the Aussies were not going to budge. A professional death overs display saw them wrap up a comprehensive victory, leaving the Indian players to rue what could have been.

Mind you, this seemed a chase-able total on a belter of a track. But this innings puts into question the possibility of an over-reliance on Smriti Mandhana at the top of the order. Trailing again in the series, India have work to do. Stick around for the presentation ceremony!

Professional from Schutt. You always come to expect that of her and she has done the job for her side. Australia have completed a clinical defense to win by 22 runs and take a 2-1 lead in the series!

19.3 Megan Schutt to Deepti Sharma, OH! Just falls short of mid-off, low full toss on the fifth stump, Deepti reaches to smack it away, fielder diving forward to get underneath but couldn't, they pick up a brace.

Why did Deepti Sharma send Radha back there? Surely she had to cross over in order to try and give India the best chance to win this game? A lapse there by the all-rounder!

19.1 Megan Schutt to Radha Yadav, RUN-OUT! Just too good from Schutt. Was a slower one, Radha skips down the track to heave but gets the inside edge on to her pad, Radha takes off but Deepti sends her back, Schutt runs, picks it up and darts it into the stumps and Radha is well short and has to walk back.
