Scotland XI beat Italy by 25 runs. Jack Jarvis 79 | Adrian Neill 2-17 Liam Naylor 58* | Jack Jarvis 1-18
The Italians put up a stellar showing, and all thanks to the inspired performance put up by Zain Naqvi, who was sent at the top of the order today. Fernando too played his part, but few others could help the former in setting up victory for the Azzurri.
The Scots were served well by most of their bowlers, but the treatment that the likes of Jack Hogarth and Bradley Currie received in the hands of the batters of Italy needs some introspection on their part. This sort of show, however, is quite common when it comes to this format of the game, and they should not indulge in too much of overthinking.
Italy can take great heart from the fact that they tried their best to chase this total down, but in the end, it just was not meant to be. Sharif and Sandhu tried to get going in the latter stages, but it was too tough an ask for them too. What they do need to work on is their bowling, as that is what let them down today, and drastically so.

9.6 Adrian Neill to Amir Sharif, That's the end of the game folks. A great final delivery. Right under the bat of Amir Sharriff and he couldn't quite make any connection. Scotland XI was given a run for their money but eventually the bowlers held their nerves and won it for them,
9.5 Adrian Neill to Rajmani Sandhu, Fullish again this time around off. Sandhu squirts it away down the ground towards the long-off region for a single.
9.4 Adrian Neill to Rajmani Sandhu, Four runs for Rajmani Sandhu. Fuller-length delivery angling into the pads of Sandhu. He tries to flick it away down the on side and ends up getting a thickish outside edge which flies towards the vacant deep third man region for a boundary.
9.3 Adrian Neill to Amir Sharif, That went high up in the air and the fielder couldn't quite run enough to take the catch. On a good-length and Sharif swings hard. Gets the outside edhe which goes up miles above and a single taken in the end.
9.2 Adrian Neill to Rajmani Sandhu, A low full toss outside off. Sandhu couldn't quite reach that the way he would have liked. Gets the cue ender towards the deep cover region and takes a single.
9.1 Adrian Neill to Amir Sharif, Fuller-length delivery around off and that has been squeezed away from the outside half of the bat towards the long-off region and takes a single.
Adrian Neill (1-0-9-2) will bowl the last over of this game. Italy need an improbable 34 runs to win.

8.3 Alasdair Evans to Amir Sharif, A slower back of a length delivery on the stumps this time and that has been helped away towards deep square leg for a four.
8.2 Alasdair Evans to Amir Sharif, Back to back dit deliveries. Was in the slot but Rajmani again swings it hard but only in thin air.
8.1 Alasdair Evans to Rajmani Sandhu, Swing and a miss. On a good-length a shade outside off. Rajmani swings hard and misses.
Alasdair Evans (1-0-13-0) comes into the attack.
The last couple of overs coming up; can the Italians score the 43 runs that are required now?
