That's it for that match, folks! Jaffna Kings's league stage is over and they can just wait and watch now. Galle finally collected a win after four straight losses and have another game to go now. They are slightly behind the NRR to make top-four but a win will get them there easily. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. This is Rudransh and Bidipto signing off for Sportskeeda!
Dasun Shanaka (Galle Titans captain): Much needed victory. Credit should go to Kasun. He had Lahiru bowled very well. Once Kasun got going, everyone else got going. Wickets have been playing differently. It's good to see everyone scoring high runs so it will be better if we get good wickets. One game at time for now. We had clear plans coming into this game against Jaffna's happy lineup and we'll do the same. We talked about NRR but sometimes it can't happen.
Thisara Perera (Jaffna Kings captain): (On what went wrong) I don't think that the wicket was much of a problem. We needed 150 runs on the board but unfortunately, we could not get things going. The first six overs were disappointing for us with the bat time and again and that cost us. Let's see what happens with other results now.
Kasun Rajitha is our Player of the Match! Here is what he has to say.
Kasun Rajitha: (On what was his game-plan today) My focus is the hit the right length and bowl the right line. The new ball did swing and I enjoyed the movement up front. (On the wicket he enjoyed the most) Shoaib Malik's wicket was the best, as far as I'm concerned.
It is time for the post-match presentation!
That's it! End of the match! Galle Titans win the must-win game by seven wickets!
Tim Seifert 55 (42) | Kasun Rajitha (4/20) Dunith Wellalage 22 (31) | Shoaib Malik (1/2)
A clinical performance from the Titans, one that might surprise many. Kings would be very, very disappointed because it's their batting that lost them the game and they chose to bat first. 90 was always going to be an easy target and the Titans made sure they didn't put a foot wrong in the chase.
Seifert and Rajapaksa treaded carefully in the first two overs, with the second being bowled by Theekshana. Rajapaksa got his eye in and went against Thushar in the third, providing the team with the much needed momentum. Theekshana had a change of ends and out-foxed Rajapaksa immediately but that was the only five minute period when the Kings looked in the game.
Bowes came in and shut shop, while Seifert ran twos from the other end beautifully while also picking the occasional boundary. He fell soon after his fifty but the job was done. Shakib came and went too but Shanaka smacked his first ball to mid wicket to finish the game off.
13.3 Shoaib Malik to Dasun Shanaka, AND THAT WILL BE THE VICTORY TO THE TITANS! Good length ball on middle-stump. This held in the surface a touch but Shanaka went through with the hoick off the front foot. The ball landed between deep mid-wicket and long-on and there was enough time for the batters to come back for two!
Dasun Shanaka, RHB, comes to the crease
13.2 Shoaib Malik to Shakib Al Hasan, WICKET! Good length slower ball on off-stump. Shakib made room to go over long-off but all he could manage in the end was a top-handed lofted drive to the left of long-off for a good diving catch!
Shakib Al Hasan c David Miller b Shoaib Malik 2 (4b, 0x4, 0x6)
13.1 Shoaib Malik to Shakib Al Hasan, round the wicket, full around off-stump. Pushed off the front foot to backward point, no run.
Just 2 runs needed for a win and Shoaib Malik, right-arm orthodox, comes into the attack

12.5 Dilshan Madushanka to Chad Bowes, short on off-stump. A short-arm pull this time down to wide long-on for a single off the back foot.
12.4 Dilshan Madushanka to Shakib Al Hasan, short on middle-and-leg. Tucked around the corner to the right of short fine-leg for a single.
Shakib al Hassan, LHB, comes to the crease
12.3 Dilshan Madushanka to Tim Seifert, TAKEN! Good length ball outside off-stump. Seifert went for the glory shot on the up away from the body but ended up toe ending it straight to short cover for a fine catch! He does not stay there to see victory, Tim Seifert.
Tim Seifert c Thisara Perera b Dilshan Madushanka 55 (42b, 5x4, 1x6)
12.2 Dilshan Madushanka to Chad Bowes, good length ball on middle-and-off. Dabbed down to third man quite neatly for a single to rotate strike.
12.1 Dilshan Madushanka to Chad Bowes, full around off-stump. Check driven off the front foot to short extra cover, no run.
Just six runs needed off 48 balls, Titans won't go over the Kings' NRR but it's a dominating performance nevertheless!
