That's it for game 1 on this double-header Wednesday. Hop tabs to catch the other game which will start soon. Hope you enjoyed our coverage. For more come back here. Till next time, it's a goodbye from all of us here.
Wanindu Hasaranga | Kandy captain: We are playing good cricket throughout the tournament. We have good batters deep down the order, so my plan is to try and bat till 14-15 overs and then allow those hitters to play their natural game. Carlos bowled really well today.
Thisara Perera | Jaffna captain: Win or lose it is a part of the game. We will learn from this and come back strongly. This is a 170-180 pitch, had we batted well, we would've chased this down easily.
Fabian Allen | Player of the Match: I just went out there, backed myself and executed it. We are playing good cricket and we have a decent bowling group as well.
Sadeera Samarawickrama 48 (41) | Dunith Wellalage - 2/7 Fabian Allen 47 (23) | Carlos Brathwaite - 4/18
It was a fast-paced innings from the outset. Jaffna Kings did well to maintain a good net run rate, very much keeping abreast with the required rate, but the regular fall of wickets kept pegging them back and eventually, resulting in them losing the match!
Avishka Fernando and Sadeera Samawickrama did indeed bat really well by taking the attack to the opposition after Rahmanullah Gurbaz went early, but when Avishka got out, it turned out to be a bit of a procession of wickets.
James Fuller also hit some good shots to keep his team in the game, with some decent support from Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, but that too was cut short by some fine bowling at the death by Kandy Falcons.
Carlos Brathwaite, Isuru Udana, Wanindu Hasaranga and Fabian Allen were good right through the innings. Brathwaite took a four-wicket haul to break the back of the Kings. The fielding too was sharp and backed up the bowling pretty well.
Kandy Falcons are now firmly on top with 10 points from 6 matches. Jaffna Kings though, after suffering their second defeat to the Falcons, stay on 8 points from their 6 games.

19.6 Chamika Karunaratne to Waqar Samarkheil, KANDY FALCONS GET THE WIN! Good length slower ball down leg, a big swing across the line, it takes a bit of pad on the way to beat the diving keeper to his left and it also beats the short fine-leg to his right, to go down to the fine-leg fence for FOUR! But that will be that for the match and Jaffna fall short by 10 runs!
19.5 Chamika Karunaratne to Waqar Samarkheil, short outside off, a miss of the upper cut here, Samarkheil was asking for a wide, but it was not to be! Dot ball.
19.4 Chamika Karunaratne to Waqar Samarkheil, FOUR! Full and just outside off, drilled out to the left of the bowler and the right of mid-off, for a boundary to long-off!
19.3 Chamika Karunaratne to Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, short over off, it hits the bat hard as the batter tries to pull it from the crease, it floats over the bowler then to go to long-off for a single.
19.2 Chamika Karunaratne to Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, short outside off, spliced up in the air off the back foot, over cover, and it falls safely for the batters to come back for two!
19.1 Chamika Karunaratne to Waqar Samarkheil, over the wicket, good length faster ball on off, a big heave to leg ends up in an inside edge to the pads, for a single to point in the end!
23 off the last over. It will be a miracle if Jaffna manage to pull this one off.

18.6 Isuru Udana to Waqar Samarkheil, full on off, tapped to the left of mid-off here, from the crease, for a single to open his account!
18.5 Isuru Udana to Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, full and in the block hole outside off, squeezed down to the pads off the inside edge, for a ricochet to short point, and a single!
18.4 Isuru Udana to Vijayakanth Viyaskanth, short over off-stump, quicker ball and a miss of the pull shot this time, on the back foot! Dot ball here again.
18.3 Isuru Udana to Dilshan Madushanka, RUN OUT! Full toss on leg, cramping Madushanka for room, he did manage to tap it back to the bowler from staying leg-side of the ball, went for the run, Udana picked it up, took his time and hit the stumps at the non-striker's end direct, to perhaps, find Madushanka short of his crease by inches! The third umpire is taking a good long look though before making his decision. And in the end, he gives it OUT!
Madushanka run out (Udana) 7(4) [6s-1]
18.2 Isuru Udana to Dilshan Madushanka, short and slow outside off, an attempted glide over the top of short third man here, but a miss! Dot ball.
18.1 Isuru Udana to Dilshan Madushanka, SIX! Full and slow on middle, Madushanka clears his front leg, swipes through the line and hits it well over the right of long-off, for a MAXIMUM!
