Right then, a much-needed victory for Pollard and his men as the defending champions look to get their campaign back on track now. 145 is what they needed, which was not a lot to get and they did end up making light-work of the chase in the end. Lendl Simmons was due for a big one and he finally got the big score that will give him lot of confidence going ahead into the business end.
70 off just45 deliveries from him, along with a responsible 34 from Munro that set this chase up for Trinbago. Darren Bravo and skipper Pollard finishing it off with relative ease, winning by 7 wickets in the end. Trinbago did really well with the ball earlier to restrict Tallawahs to 144.
The Tallawahs put a few opportunities down that hurt them while defending their total. That is something that they will have to work on going forward. Looking at the positives though, they batted well to recover from 15/5 at one stage to keep themselves in the game.
A good all-round game for Trinbago and they will only look to keep winning games from here on. These two sides will meet once again and the Knight Riders will want to make it a double while the Tallawahs would like to settle some scores. Until then, this has been Rishab and Ankit as we bid goodbye!
Rovman Powell: I don't think it was a 15/5 wicket. Some bad shots in the powerplay cost us. It's only for us to get it right in the first five or six overs now. Dropping catches is something that we need to get right. Hopefully our players will be ready for the next game.
Kieron Pollard: Pleased with the two points. t was important for us. Hopefully we can strive for some consistency going forward. The bowling has been nothing but fantastic. Well led by Rampaul, who continues to show his experience and skills. We knew that he will be a trump card for us, well supported by others. Our batting was good but we would like to come to the party often. The way Lendl batted today, he showed the class player he is and with Murno supporting him, that is what we are looking for.
Lendl Simmons, Player of the Match: It was a big game. Pitch did pretty well. The first five games the pitch was a bit difficult. This surface was much better for batting and I backed myself to come to the party now. We know that at some point we will get partnerships. We got the runs in 17 overs which is pretty good. We had spoke before the game that we need to get going. The spirit has been high all the time. We back ourselves and we know that we are defending champions. We will pick up momentum from this.
That is that! Done and dusted as the Trinbago Knight Riders win this game by 7 wickets and 2.5 overs to spare. Quite comfortable in the end and much-needed two points, that now takes them to the third place on the table!
18.0
17.2 Chris Green to Kieron Pollard , another wide and that will be the game! Green wanted to bowl in that wide line, just inside the tram line on the off side, but he ends up crossing it. Umpire thinks so too, as he raises his arms, and signals it a wide. A comfortable win at the end for the defending champions, as they climb up the point table.
17.2 Chris Green to Kieron Pollard , from around the wicket, but it is a wide ball! Green looks for a wide line, but ends up bowling a little too wide down the off side.
17.1 Chris Green to Darren Bravo , fullish delivery on the pads. Bravo wanted to flick it down the leg side, but misses. Ball deflects off his back pad, and the batsmen cross over for one.
Chris Green back into the attack
Brilliant over for Trinbago this with Bravo taking Pretorius on. An expensive finish for Pretorius as Pollard and his men are now just a hit away from sealing the deal. As good as over with just 3 more runs needed now!

16.6 Migael Pretorius to Kieron Pollard , FOUR! Elegant and effortless as a cover drive can be. The ball is pitched up nicely in the slot for Pollard to bring his bat down and smack it through the huge cover gap. No one to stop those and TKR are almost home.
16.5 Migael Pretorius to Darren Bravo , short ball again to the left hander. Bravo takes a small jump to caress this one away to third man for one more run.
16.4 Migael Pretorius to Kieron Pollard , a low full toss for the latter again, but Pollard not interested in going aerial. He drills it to long on and continues to rotate the strike.
16.3 Migael Pretorius to Darren Bravo , good length delivery, just outside off stump, guided down to third man with an open bat face. A single taken there.
That is humungous from Bravo!!! That is some blow! Hefty and powerful, mighty hit and that one was travelling miles!
16.2 Migael Pretorius to Darren Bravo , SIX!!! OUTRAGEOUS! Good length delivery served to the left hander, on the fourth stump line, meaning right in the slot for Bravo. He does not need to move his feet at all for this, as he's sent this one like a bullet. Right up on the second tier, as TKR edge close to victory.
16.1 Migael Pretorius to Darren Bravo , FOUR! Out of nowhere this one! Quick, good length delivery, darted into the leg stump. Bravo uses the pace of the bowler to paddle it down past short fine leg for runs.
This has been a brilliant spell from Imad Wasim, backing up his performance with the bat earlier on. Nice and tidy to finish with. He's hardly given anything away and this has been a good all-round performance from him. Might not be in a winning cause though. 20 more needed off 24 deliveries!
