Kieron Pollard, the winning captain: In the end, everything looks excellent. It was, nevertheless, difficult out there. We lost two set batters, and two fresh hitters were on the mound. Tom sparked our interest. When it came to batting, it wasn't simple. We understood that both Carlos and Andre could have snatched it away from us. So I had Narine bowl three four-over spells in a row for us. At first, Ali was wonderful. He has always gone above and beyond for us. We'll keep working hard to achieve those two points. We didn't have a terrific first half of the competition.
Rovman Powell, the losing captain: We just did not stick to our strategy. We should've bowled more consistently. It might have been different if we had executed in the final 3-4 overs. There's a problem with our top-order. Hopefully, the batsmen will get it right this time.
Ali Khan, the Player of the Match: This is my first game in the CPL, and I'm extremely excited to be here and make my mark. The coaching staff and my teammates had a lot of faith in me; without them, it would not have been possible. In my absence, he (Rampaul) he's been the leading wicket-taker. I enjoy playing in the CPL and visiting the Caribbean. It is regarded as one of the greatest leagues in the world. I enjoy coming here to bowl. This one is for all the Knight Riders fans.
What a win, what a win for Trinibago Knight Riders! The reigning champions have won this tie comprehensively by 75 runs and climbed up to 2nd place in the league table! They have outplayed Jamaica Tallawahs in all three departments of the game. Despite losing the toss and being on the backfoot of a majority of their batting, they managed to cover it up in the last three overs and put on an above par total. Since then, they were never out of the game and kept pushing Jamaica behind every over.
Defending 167 on this wicket would always be an easy task but having Andre Russel and Carlos Brathwaite in the opposition lineup, the Knight Riders needed early wickets. They succeeded in doing so, not only did they take early wickets, they broke Jamaica's back after restricting them for 13-4 at the end of five overs. Ali Khan came on with a magical spell of 2-0-2-3 in the powerplay. He took another wicket in the ending.
The chase was over before it could begin. Skipper, Rovmann Powell and Jason Mohammed formed a small partnership but that was broken by Khary Pierre. Brathwaite and Russel came on at 7 and 8 but it was too late to make an impact as they went back packing for low scores.
The spinners did a fine job in the middle after Ali Khan caused the major damage at the beginning. Narine, Hossain and Pierre combined for four wickets and conceded runs at a very economical rate.

The net run rate is the only thing that is left to be played for. In competitive T20 leagues, one never knows how vital can the run rate turn out to be.
