Roma CC are crowned champions and will represent Italy in the European Cricket League (ECL) next year! Quite a comprehensive win for the side and they have been absolutely dominant throughout the chase. The openers set the tone for the chase early, with Marage and Samarakoon stitching together a 59-run partnership in under 5 overs. It was the former who was the aggressor and perished in a bid to continue scoring at a high rate. A couple of absolute blinders from Jinnah Brescia's fielders gave them a sniff at victory. The game seemed to hang in balance but Samarakoon, who had spent enough time at the crease, switched gears and went after Shabbir, taking him to the cleaners to finish off the match in grand style! A top effort from the side and the journey till this trophy was not an easy one. Roma CC have won six do-or-die matches continuously to lift the title! Quite an achievement! After restricting Jinnah Brescia to 103 runs earlier in the day, the batters have done the job. Chasing has been their strong suit this season and they cap off the final in a similar fashion! Roma CC have held their nerve in tough situations and certainly deserve to be the champion!

7.5 Faisal Shabbir to Thushara Samarakoon, SIX! BANG! AND SAMARAKOON FINISHES IT OFF IN STYLE! ROMA CC ARE CHAMPIONS! Shabbir's slew of poor deliveries continue with another length delivery sprayed onto the pads, quite comfortable for Samarakoon, who rocks onto the back-foot in a flash, swivels and hooks that over the fine leg region for a huge maximum!

7.4 Faisal Shabbir to Thushara Samarakoon, into the blockhole and on the middle stump line, Samarakoon just about gets his bat down in time and digs that out back to the bowler.
