Commentary

That brings us to the end of the first game today between Jonkoping and Seaside CC. Sami Ibrahimkhil's monstrous onslaught at the start meant that Jonkoping could take their time and coast to the target and still boost their Net Run Rate to a massive extent. The start with the ball was forgettable for Seaside CC to say the least. Mujtaba Hakim didn't look warmed up and up enough to bowl the first over, and it showed. He had a hard time landing the ball on the pitch, 21 came off the first over, and then the next over, and the over after that belonged to the left-handed Sami Ibrahimkhil. A strong pair of forearms and wrists swung and swung, 33 came off the second over from Aditya Arora, half the target was completed within two overs, and from thereon, there could have been only one winner. Ibramhimkhil was unlucky to miss out on a half-century, but thanks to him, Moosa Rehan and Qasim Muhammad could take their time, manoeuvre the gaps on the field, and get their side home with 3 overs to spare.
