Thanks a lot for joining us- Mohul Bhowmick and Rajarshi Das- for this exciting game in the LPL! We hope you enjoyed watching it as much as we did bringing it to you. Until next time, ciao!
Dhananjaya de Silva, the captain of Dambulla Aura is also the Player of the Match! Here's what he has to say: It was the captain (Kusal Mendis)'s idea to give opportunities to others. We have a very strong bench. All the youngsters did well today. We have a good selection headache because of our strong bench. The slowness in the wicket helped my cause today, I think.
Wanindu Hasaranga (B-Love Kandy captain): This is our second game in a row, so it was hard for us to recover and come back strongly. Our bowlers did really well. We are all humans- it is very difficult to come and play without even 24 hours' rest. One of our batters should have gone on to a good score, but our bowlers were good today.
Dambulla Aura beat B-Love Kandy by 20 runs!
Dinesh Chandimal 50 (46) | Dhananjaya de Silva 4-6 Avishka Fernando 41 (27) | Nuwan Pradeep 3-35
Kandy seemed to be in the chase in the powerplay when Wanindu Hasaranga got together with Dinesh Chandimal after the fall of the openers. However, this did not last long, and Dambulla came back strongly into the game.
Hasaranga tried to heave a few big ones out of the park, but could not quite change the tide in his side's favour. Chandimal, as it turned out, was the only batter to cross fifty in the match across both sides.
However, his knock was not enough to save Kandy's blushes today, and they eventually caved in to Dambulla. Isuru Udana tried his best to bring his team back into the game in the dying stages, but could not quite do it.
Stand-in skipper Dhananjaya de Silva was the star with the ball in hand for Dambulla, ending with figures of 4-6 today. These are also the best figures in the LPL this season. Hayden Kerr and Pramod Madushan, despite being a tad expensive earlier in the day, managed to pull things back quickly for Dambulla.
Victory in this game means that Dambulla remain on top of the table. Kandy will have to look deep within to find out what went wrong for them and try to figure out ways to solve the problem. Kandy's net run rate has ensured that they will now remain in the top two of the league table.
Dambulla finish the group stage at the top of the table! A clinical performance from them.
19.4 Pramod Madushan to Nuwan Pradeep, OUT! It's all over! Madushan fires the in-swinging yorker in at good pace on middle and leg stump, Pradeep had an aimless waft at it, the ball went on to sneak past the bat and crash onto the leg stump! Dambulla Aura remain table-toppers going into the play-offs - they claim the honours in this contest by a margin of 20 runs!
Nuwan Pradeep b Pramod Madushan 0 (2b 0x4 0x6)
19.3 Pramod Madushan to Nuwan Pradeep, banged in short outside off stump, Pradeep swayed away from the line
Nuwan Pradeep, RHB, is the last man.
Oops! Udana's innings is cut short here. He did try his best!
19.2 Pramod Madushan to Isuru Udana, OUT! Madushan takes the pace off, and that does the trick right away! He lands this one on a good length, keeps it around off stump, Udana had a massive hoick across the line, was a tad early on the shot, and the ball went on to crash onto the sticks!
Isuru Udana b Pramod Madushan 23 (21b 2x4 1x6)
That will surely help! 21 needed now.
19.1 Pramod Madushan to Isuru Udana, FOUR! Full, pace-on delivery outside off, Udana had a big swing, the ball took the inside edge once again, and Udana found the boundary with another French cut!
A nice, clean over from Kerr after being struck for a few big hits by Udana. Kandy need 25 runs now. It does not seem impossible at all!

18.6 Hayden Kerr to Isuru Udana, low full toss close to the tramline, Udana sliced this one towards the left of sweeper cover. He keeps strike for the final over
18.5 Hayden Kerr to Isuru Udana, slower ball, pitched up outside off stump once again, Udana swung and met thin air
18.4 Hayden Kerr to Isuru Udana, slower ball, full and wide across the batter, Udana swung, missed, and let out a roar of exasperation
That was a stunning blow! Where did that come from?
18.3 Hayden Kerr to Isuru Udana, SIX! Now then, is there a twist in the tale! Pace-on delivery from Kerr, but he landed it in the slot for Udana. Udana connected with his slog this time all right, and sent the ball yards back into the seats at mid wicket!
18.2 Hayden Kerr to Isuru Udana, FOUR! Full delivery, wide of off stump, Udana had another big swing, the ball took the inside edge, sneaked past off stump, and made its way to the ropes at fine leg!
