That's it for the night from here. We have a double-header in the PSL tomorrow including the big one between Karachi and Lahore. Do join us then and keep following Sportskeeda for all the fun. See you soon. Bye bye.
Sarfaraz Ahmed | Quetta skipper: We had the belief at the halfway stage that we could defend the total. The bowlers bowled brilliantly, especially in the last 3 overs. Hopefully Guptill can continue his form. Our bowlers were spot on with the execution and that made my job easy.
Martin Guptill | Player of the Match: After being 4 down in 7 overs is never ideal, big credit goes to Iftikhar. I tried to stay as deep as possible and that's what I tried to do.
Imad Wasim | Karachi captain: We had it on the plate and we gave away so many runs. Dropped catches cost you a game. And with the bat we had no intent to win the game. We are depending on 2-3 bowlers and not 5 bowlers. Our death bowling has not been good. We have to think hard. Personally it was good and I have been bowling well the whole year, I'm up to the mark all the time. Lahore is a very good team but don't write us off yet but first we have to show some aggression and win the game.
Mohammad Hasnain: It was an important wicket and I was brought in to take the wicket [on Wade]. We have played together for a long time and we have a good friendship. We want to win games for our side [on him and Naseem]. I'm enjoying the game.
Match result: Quetta Gladiators win by 6 runs
Innings summary: Karachi Kings 162/5 in 20 overs
Shoaib Malik 71* | Mohammad Hasnain 2/29
Quetta have managed to defend this in a close game. Sharjeel and Haider Ali went for ducks but James Vince looked to be in great nick until he was cleaned up by a fast delivery from Naseem Shah.
Malik and Wade were the dangerous stand but Hasnain came on and broke that stand and also took Imad Wasim's wicket which changed the game.
Malik kept fighting but Quetta bowled superb overs in the 18th and 19th over to help Odean Smith to close it out.
Both Naseem Shah and Hasnain just gave 5 and 7 respectively with tremendous death bowling skills.
Odean did just enough to seal the game.
Stay tuned for the post-match presentation...

18.5 Mohammad Hasnain to Shoaib Malik, back of a length outside off, Malik reaches for it and cuts wide of sweeper cover for two
18.4 Mohammad Hasnain to Irfan Khan Niazi, back of a length outside off, flat-batted to mid-off
