They say "Patience is bitter but its fruit is sweet". We all experienced it today. Waiting through the rain delay was indeed a little bit unsettling. However, we were treated to some good cricket afterwards. We hope that you enjoyed the commentary. It is time for us to sign off now. Kiran Carlson (Glamorgan Captain): Tough conditions out there. When you bat first in a shortened game, the chasing side is always in with a chance, no matter what the score with short boundaries and a wet pitch. But we batted well. We knew we had to assess early what a good score would be. But at the same time we needed to be bold and go hard at the top. It was a nightmare to bowl. It was soaking wet. But the bowlers did well. Gorvin and Labuschagne bowled well. Our bowlers showed some great skill.

Sam Billings (Kent Captain): It was a good toss to win. You saw it was difficult to defend towards the end. But we gave away too many runs. It is the story of our season. We haven't been able to string together performances through the game. It is a brutal game for the bowlers. But we did not execute as well as we would have liked. Labuschagne batted well. With an inexperienced bowling attack, you will have days like that. Plenty of opportunities for the young side to learn with every game. Nathan Gilchrist is a prime example. He has shown great improvement and locked himself for the next year probably.

Marnus Labuschagne (Man of the Match) - Nice to get a win. We had ups and downs. Had some close games but to see a performance together is pleasing. I think batting first gives you an opportunity to score freely. While batting second, the rate goes up and you play according to the situation. The ball was nipping around but the openers took them on. Not easy to bat around but they set the momentum. I need to bring all three of my skills. When one is not on, I have to bring the other two facets. We all learn from the experiences we had and come back better for next year. The ball was slippery and skidding on, credit to the bowlers

The crowd that has offered nothing but silence to the visiting team throughout the evening, breaks out into one final, thunderous applause as the teams shake hands. Glamorgan were indeed the better side of the two today. They came out to bat with positive intent and were much more bold with their approach than the Kent batters. The conditions were not easy for the bowlers. The outfield was soggy and the ball got wetter every time it rolled on to the outskirts of the playing field.

Labuschagne and Ingram, in particular, made the most of it, scoring runs at a brisk pace against the opposition spinners in the middle overs. 145 was great score for a 13-over game. The Kent batters, on the other hand, struggled to time the ball. The bowling from Glamorgan was not extraordinary, but the host team could never string big overs together

Sam Billings played a good hand but got very little support from the other end. Tom Rogers, who had a good day in the field, came out to blast 31 runs in a dozen balls but it was a bit too late. Hence, despite dropping a couple of sitters, Glamorgan register a comprehensive win. Also remember, 18 extras were bowled by Kent and Glamorgan sent down only 9. That too turned out to be a major difference.
