Sher-e-Punjab win by 69 runs and take the bonus point too.
In a match where we saw bat dominating the ball and runs being scored at an average of nearly 15 runs per over, two men stood out for Sher-e-Punjab. One was Akshay Saini, who returned figures of 2-0-5-1 and completely stalled the momentum for Kipro Tigers Limassol. The other was Paramjeet Devgan. After Hardeep Singh had taken the first over for 35 runs and taken us all aback, it was necessary for Sher-e-Punjab to follow the nightmarish start with an economical over to restore sanity. That is where Devgan delivered a six run over and made sure that KTL did not run away with the inertia.
For KTL, there is a lot to ponder upon going forward. While their batting looked alright - even though it was a bit skewed due to a great opening over - it was their bowling and fielding that let them down. Their bowlers bowled far too many loose deliveries and the fielders dropped a million catches. Sher-e-Punjab were affirmative with their batting approach and were, hence, able to pile upon a big score in the first innings.
In the end, 69 runs is a huge margin of victory and Sher-e-Punjab would go into the next game with their confidence sky high.

KTL are still in the hunt for a point. Late surge from Towhidul could turn out to be crucial. 24 runs to get off the last over for a point. Can they get it?

It is a scuffle for the bonus point from here on. Sher-e-Punjab need to restrict KTL to 128 or under to take it. The Tigers need to score 36 more off the last two overs to ensure that they do not go empty handed off of this match.
