Commentary

Debutants Gent tried their best to get at a total that was not extraordinary, but a middle-order failure, coupled with some extremely disciplined bowling by Liege ensured that they could not do so. This victory will cheer Liege up, coming as it does on the back of two consecutive defeats to Beveren in their previous encounters.

Ghuman Ali of Liege and Reyhan Faiz of Gent were the top performers with the bat, scoring 20 and 19 respectively while Mahbubullah Rahmadzai of Gent (4-15) and Hussainkhel Forqanullah of Liege (4-18) starred with the ball in hand.
