That's all from this contest, but the battle for the top two spots in the group continues as Malta take on France in the next game, which will get underway in around 10 minutes' time. Just switch tabs to catch all the action from that one. For now, this is the duo of Pratyush and Pradeep, taking your leave. Bye bye!
Belgium win by 61 runs
Muhammad Sulaiman - 63 (19) | Murid Ekrami - 2/18 Shiv Karan Gill - 34 (22) and 1/11
Right then. It was one of the most one-sided contests you'll see between the top two sides of the group. What was expected to be a close contest left plenty to be desired in the end, especially for Luxembourg as a team. They conceded two many runs in the first half of the game and could never really recover from there on.
It was Sulaiman's knock that set the tone for Belgium, while there were healthy contributions from the other batters as well. In the second innings, their bowlers took responsibility to close the game out without much of a fuss too. Ekrami got the ball rolling in the powerplay and once Luxembourg were at 34/3, it was tough to see a way back for them.
Tony Whiteman did his best to keep the fight on, as did Shiv Karan Gill, but neither batter could go on to play the long innings that was required. The Belgium bowling unit ensured that they keep chipping away to eventually seal a mammoth 61-run victory to seal their spot into the next round.
