Luxembourg got off to a start worth worrying for their opponents today. Timothy Barker was onto his business as usual, helping take 16 off the first over. After Cope departed, he and Shiv Karan Gill stitched a partnership that was set to take the game away, with boundaries and over-boundaries coming up on demand. Luxembourg were on top until the end of the 4th over, following which the collapse started and the runs stemmed. Justin Shaju, as always, worked his magic and accounted for the dangerous Barker, after which the game turned on its head. Gill was unable to find the ropes too often, he and Thomas Martin departed in quick succession. Much was expected from captain Vikram Vijh, who got Luxembourg home yesterday from a seemingly impossible situation, but it was too much even for him. Vijh struggled for 12 balls, scoring 10 before being dismissed, by when the game was already gone from the grasp of his side.
