That is it from this match, folks! This is the pair of Sourabh and Rajarshi signing off, keep following Sportskeeda
Napa Kings beat Markhor by 4 wickets with 2 overs remaining
Rajinder Kumar 24(11) | Gurdip Sharma - 2/10 (2) Shahzad Ahmed 22(20) | Amir Sohail - 2/13 (2)
They huffed and puffed on their way to it but the Napa Kings eventually manage to get past the line and book their places in the semi-final to be played tomorrow at the ECS Cyprus 2024.
76 should never have been a challenging total but credit to the Markhor bowlers who executed brilliantly and made it a tight rope for the batters. The batters did not help themselves by looking to be either timid or reckless at times.
The start was sedate but they lost their top three within the space of 8 balls as they were reduced from 19/0 to 25/3 within the fourth over. Another one went at the score of 32 as Waseem Abbas and Amir Sohail dreamt of doing something special for Markhor with a couple of wickets each.
But then, it all changed in the seventh over when the ball was tossed to Muhammad Qamar and he let it all go for Markhor conceding a mammoth 35 off his over and closing all doors for his team. Rajinder and Kamaljit were the chief destroyers with the bat in hand and even though they could not stay till the end, they ensured that Napa Kings did eventually get past the line.

7.6 Amir Sohail to Lakhwinder Singh, FOUR! Safi jumps in joy as the Napa Kings book a spot in the semi finals! On a length on off, Lakhwinder swivels, pulls and clears the infield towards square leg. Napa Kings get past the line with a couple of overs to spare!
7.5 Amir Sohail to Lakhwinder Singh, full, on middle and leg stump, Lakhwinder blocks this back to the bowler
Lakhwinder Singh, RHB, comes to the crease
Kamaljit has done his job as he goes after a quickfire cameo of 16 runs, Napa Kings are on the verge
7.4 Amir Sohail to Kamaljit Singh, OUT! Banged in short around off, Kamaljit looked to pull this one over deep square, top-edged it. The bowler himself got under it and took the catch
Kamaljit Singh c & b Amir Sohail 16 (5b, 1x4, 2x6).
7.3 Amir Sohail to Kamaljit Singh, slower ball on leg stump, Kamaljit has a swing across the line, doesn't connect with this one
7.2 Amir Sohail to Kamaljit Singh, FOUR! Just short of the ropes! Short of a length around off, Kamaljit makes room and clubs this past the man at deep mid wicket
7.1 Amir Sohail to Sanaullah Safi, full, on the pads, clipped towards deep square for a single
7.1 Amir Sohail to Sanaullah Safi, wide, full, down the leg side on this occasion
Amir Sohail [1.0-0-3-1] is back into the attack
35 RUNS OFF THE OVER!!! Talk about a match-turning over, well you won't find anything much prominent than that. Qamar has been slaughtered by the batters and that has absolutely put the Napa Kings' one foot into the semi-finals. Just 8 needed now off 3 overs

6.6 Muhammad Qamar to Kamaljit Singh, SIX MORE! The keeper is absolutely disgusted with his bowler - he rips his gloves off and absolutely slams them on the ground! Dropped short, Kamaljit waits for this to sit up, gives it a good pull, and clears mid wicket with it!
6.5 Muhammad Qamar to Kamaljit Singh, SIX! Full, right in the slot outside off, Kamaljit loads up, has a big hoick at this one, and clears the ropes at long on
This game just keeps swinging from one way to the other. Just when it looked like Rajinder was taking Napa Kings across the line, he departs. Lucky break for Markhor
6.5 Muhammad Qamar to Kamaljit Singh, wide, on a length, just down the leg side
6.4 Muhammad Qamar to Rajinder Kumar, HOLES OUT THIS TIME! Full toss outside off, Kumar looked to hoist this over deep cover, picked the longer part of the ground to hit. The man out there came in and took the catch
Rajinder Kumar c Shahzad Ahmed b Muhammad Qamar 24 (11b, 1x4, 3x6).
6.4 Muhammad Qamar to Rajinder Kumar, wide, on a length, sprayed down the leg side
