It went into the last over but make no mistake, that was a clinical run chase by Marsa CC. From start to finish, they looked in complete control, despite having to chase well over 100 and with all momentum on the opposition's side at the halfway mark.

Nowell Khosla took a bit of time initially but it was Noman Mehar, the hero with the ball, who did the star turn with the bat as well. Tearing into Jitesh Patel, he ensured that Marsa ransacked 26 off the second over to set the perfect tone for the chase. So much so that despite his dismissal, the asking rate never got out of bounds and Marsa were always on track.

Khosla then took control of the situation and switched gears in a seamless manner with Niraj Khanna for company. This was after Fanyan Mughal powered along to a cameo of his own and if anything, this summed up the chase - it was a collective effort infused with useful contributions all the way through rather than one man having to do the heavylifting.

AUM's bowlers stretched it into the final over and took it close but it was always a matter of one big hit that would close the contest for good. Khanna finished it in style and remained unbeaten to see his side past the finish line, giving Marsa the perfect start to their campaign in this year's ECS T10 Malta.
