Mountaineers 101 all out in 16.2 overs Tinashe Muchawaya 44*(36) | Ernest Masuku 3/20 Tony Munyonga 14(8) | Chris Mpofu 2/11
The Mountaineers have folded up for just a 101 and it's been a thumping win for the Tuskers! The target wasn't a big one for the Mountaineers but their approach hurt them. They kept swinging at everything and lost heaps of wickets in the powerplay. They were effectively 6 down inside the powerplay and the game was lost there. Muchawaya fought hard with for valiant unbeaten 44 and put together a good partnership with Nyauchi, but it was only going to be just about enough to save the blushes and not win them the game.
The Tuskers bowlers were unbelievable throughout the second innings! The tone was set up by the first over from Chris Mpofu where he picked up the maiden wicket. He was given great support from the other end by his fellow quicks Dube and Ernest Masuku. The latter in particular was at his absolute best and picked up 3 wickets. Skipper Ainsley Ndlovu too chipped in with a crucial wicket and did a good job holding up an end.
Tuskers win by 39 runs!
16.2 Chris Mpofu to Tinashe Muchawaya, WICKET! That could be the match here. Yes that's it. Muchawaya swings this away across the line and gets it down towards deep square leg for a single. Ther was a potential overthrow on offer and Muchawaya tries to get back on strike. However Shungu couldn't quite make his ground in time.
16.1 Chriss Mpofu to Tinashe Muchawaya, short of a length delivery on this occasion, nicely pulled away down towards the deep midwicket region and returns for a brace.
Chris Mpofu [3.0-0-9-2] comes back into the attack.
Ernest Masuku has almost sealed the game here for the Tuskers! He got rid of John Masara with an absolute peach here. Just 4 overs remain now and Muchawaya seems to be stranded at an end here.

3/20
15.6 Ernest Masuku to Mashford Shungu, fuller-length well wide outside off, Shungu flays that away past the backward point fielder and has enough time to return for a brace.
Mashford Shungu, LHB, comes to the crease.
15.5 Ernest Masuku to John Masara, WICKET! That is a beauty from Masuku and Masara's stay in the crease is short-lived. That was a good-length delivery that zips through the surface and breaches Masara's defence and clatters onto the stumps.
15.4 Ernest Masuku to John Masara, swing and a miss again. Slower delivery on a length well wide outside off, Masara again tries to swing across the line and was too early in the shot, gets beaten again.
15.3 Ernest Masuku to John Masara, fuller in the blockhole, very well bowled but nicely dug out by Masara.
15.2 Ernest Masuku to John Masara, slower delivery on a length a shade outside off, Masara tries to swipe across the line and gets beaten, was way too early into the shot.
15.1 Ernest Masuku to John Masara, run out chance goes begging, the keeper should have gone upto the stumps there. Flicks away the full-length delivery angling in straight to the midwicket fielder and was looking for a single. Not quite sure where he was going there.
Ernest Masuku [3.0-0-18-2] comes back into the attack.
Bechani has been the weak link in this bowling attack and he has been the most expensive of the lot here! Luke Jongwe isn't available so Ndlovu will have to find a way to get his overs done.

14.6 Tanatswa Bechani to John Masara, fractionally shorter from Bechani, Masara rocks back and mistimes the pull down towards deep midwicket and only manages a single.
14.5 Tanatswa Bechani to Tinashe Muchawaya, flicks away the fuller length delivery on the pads towards the fine leg region and takes a single.
14.4 Tanatswa Bechani to Tinashe Muchawaya, length delivery well wide outside off, Muchawaya goes flashing at that and gets beaten.
14.3 Tanatswa Bechani to Tinashe Muchawaya, SIX! Right in the slot from Bechani, on middle and that has been drilled up and over and it comfortably clears the long-on fence.
